  1. It's not like any other Tupelo album because it's a solely Tweedy affair. That alone makes it disqualified from being considered a lost UT album.
  2. But it's not at all like any Uncle Tupelo album. I don't get how people can consider it something outside the "real" Wilco discography. EDIT: It's also better than the last two Wilco albums.

  4. This is clearly a man you want to have on your side when the internet gets testy.
  5. Wilco362 commented on (1 week ago) "Dude, she is pretty hot."
  6. I love On and On, and I'm glad it's the last song. Doesn't quite redeem the rest of the second half, but it's a great track. Hate It Here is pretty good live. But I wouldn't call it a great song or anything. The second half of the album is littered with songs that have something good going for them but not enough. Even What Light. I really like the idea of that song, and I'd love to see more of that kind of laidback country song from Wilco, but it's got some of Jeff's worst lyrics. Anyway, with no sequencing consideration at all, I'd go: Either Way You Are My Face Impossible Germany Sky
  7. The first five tracks on SBS are among the best album runs anywhere in Wilco's entire catalogue, and On and On and On is really good too. But everything between Seeds and On is less than great, even if they all do have certain charms and listenability. I can still listen to the whole thing, but the distance between those six elite tracks and everything else is massive. Take Either Way->Side With The Seeds and On and On with 3/4 of WTA's strongest tracks and there's an album that can just about stand up to any other Wilco disc.
  8. Being There should never be that low. Anyway: ST BT YHF AGIB AM SBS WTA
  9. Atease is the Radiohead message board. If you ignore all the dumbass Radiohead fans who can turn any random tweet into hundred page speculation threads about new music/tours, it's a good place to find and discuss music. Also a good place to make fun of awful people. Also, people complain when this board is dead, and they complain when simple joking around gets a thread going. Geez, people.
  10. See, I disagree there. It is noticeable as in this album is way less guitar-centric than Stadium, but it feels like a conscious choice. What Josh adds on guitar is nice enough, and the changed focus to bass and some electronics is even nicer. I think the "John's absence" angle is easy to ignore if you just take it as a Chili Peppers album, and not their first in a long time without John. And besides, I'd much rather have this than an album where they clearly tried to make Josh become John so his absence couldn't be felt. Josh is a really talented dude, and it feels like they let him do his own
  11. I think I've been registered here longer than Atease. But I have many thousands more posts over there. Good board.
