Thanks again! This is great information. I appreciate you taking the time. -
You, my friend, may have a future in the classical paradigm That really sounds just as good...

Yeah... I know. The truth is, my wife and son love that song and want me to learn how to play it... but that sounds like a lie so...

Anthony... better late than never, I guess. Although I'm sure that you have long ago figured this one out, I figured I'd give this one an update. Not so good at the tabbing thing, so I'll try to write out the riff. Man, Jeff loves building riffs off the D shape, and this is another one in drop D capo 2 (as you know)... then again, let me try this... all #'s relative to capo. Key is to move that pinky up to the 4th fret on the D string and pull your index off of the G string until the hammer on/pull off... that's pretty much it. I cannot disagree with that at all. Definitely worth the time investment. The most "realistic" cop drama that has ever existed. I can't think of many TV shows I like more than this one, ether. All the characters are interesting for the most part. It is very entertaining, and I just may have learned something along the way as well. It really delves into the deep-seeded politics of the force, schools, city hall, print media, etc., and pulls few punches. Plus I like watching McNulty and Bunk vomiting in nearly every episode. Omar is probably my favorite TV character of all time, and Be

I tried the search, and flipped through some pages to no avail. I'm sure it is in there somewhere. Does anybody have a good set of chords and/or tab for the solo version of this tune. My son scratched-up my "Sunken Treasure" DVD; otherwise, I'd use that. Thanks!

Who are the 5 best live bands you've ever seen?

Awesome! You pretty much saw him in all three incarnations! My favorite from the guitar period is "The Indifference of Heaven" just amazingly sad, cutting lyrics. And "Carmelita", as you said... wow. A very underrated lyricist IMHO. Desperados Under the Eaves... phew... forget about it. His memoirs that his ex, Crystal, put out a few years ago was pretty interesting. You should check it out if you haven't already. I think it's called "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" -
OK... then -bennett for 1/2 of 2002. Just trying to answer the dude's question.

Bring back Jay Bennett!!!

Lineup for most of the recording in 2001 was: Jeff Tweedy, Jay Bennett, John Stirratt, LeRoy Bach, and Glenn Kotche.

Oh boy... here I am throwing myself in the fire... I have listened to the show, and he is a bit of a blow hard for sure, but he is just a conservative, not a bona-fide hate proliferator. He does not care for the politics of the hard left (hate, maybe, or just "good" radio) and will spout off on the democrats and their liberal agenda until the cows come home. Being a conservative though, does not mean he is a hard right winger (I mean Nazi stuff, KKK kind of stuff) that is where a lot of the "hate" comes from. Some of the issues of the social conservatives do come from the church, and Rus

I just learned that gay marriage is to blame for the economic meldown... that and stem-cell research used to clone gay babies.

DEWD! I don't even know you, but I love you. Drunk behind the piano, 'roided up with a pony tail and a guitar, or riddled with the big C? If I could go back in time to see any dead musician live in their prime, he would be my choice (sounds like another thread there) Any standout live tunes that you remember? -

Although I didn't put them in my top 5, I'd have to agree. these guys are an unbelieveable live act. I've seen them mentioned a few times at least. This board has some good taste! -

It was the latter version of the band. It was '93 or '94. I went to school down at SIU and we would frequent STL to hang out and go see shows on occasion. I saw them at Mississippi Nights which is...was... a pretty cool little venue in STL on "The Landing". They were fantastic and had never heard of them until I saw them live that one time. They were fantastic. The roots of my fandom. I remember loving the show, but since I have evolved into such a big fan of Wilco over the years, I may be remembering it as better than it was... but I don't think so. -

1. Wilco 2. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 3. The Ramones 4. Rage Against the Machine at the old China Club in 1992, I think... 5. Uncle Tupelo -
I almost always end up at the same place... Kid A. Radiohead.
