And Howard Fishman at Steppenwolf!

Dude, you should be a moderator!

I don't think this happens all that much more than it ever did. If people know the answer to a question that's asked here, they will let you know. When people don't know the answer, it's pretty much guaranteed to swing off-topic.

I was going to quote my favorite parts of this, but I would just have to re-post the whole thing.

That vibe is exactly it. We were driving over from the hotel, having had a great time at the 90s party the night before and met up with a bunch of people for lunch that afternoon, and I said that I really kept forgetting that Jeff was going to be there! I was so looking forward to seeing everyone, and to all of that amazing food , and to hearing Mart and Dave play, that Jeff was truly just the (chai spice buttercream) icing on the cake. Of course once he and Susan showed up, I realized (yet again) how lucky we all are to get to have that experience. I don't think any of us knew what we w

Wish I could have been there! That would definitely be a great venue for them.

I have lots of other pictures (most of them blurry), but this was hands down the photo op of the night:

Paul, didn't we get a Dave Mirabella vocal on this one? Sorry about that! Yeah, the paparazzi were a little out of control that night. Definitely one of the highlights of the night for me. She's so very beautiful. I've got a great picture of her that will make an appearance here shortly. [quote name='pn

I'm too tired to be a moderator right now. I got no sleep last night, and now I'm in the middle of a huge DDR tournament. OK, now we're officially off topic.

I just like the idea of a thing ending. They had the big finale, and I'm not saying there aren't places they could go with multiple slayer storylines, but I think I prefer that we get to imagine some of those for ourselves. Are we officially off topic yet?

If Mart hadn't had puppy voice, we might have postponed our flight...

Hi Kate! Around our house, this is considered the best of the Snickets. I do that with my niece, and it is taking us FORVER to read Eragon. I've read about five books in between in the meantime.

A friend of mine works for this group. Some frightening stuff on their site.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Perhaps we can discuss this in the near future. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! No, really though.

Long time no see! Happy Birthday!

Cool people obviously attract cool birthday wishes. I got several out-loud laughs out of this thread. You're going to have the best birthday party EVER!

Robert, I love that book so much, I actually went to Trieste on vacation last year! It's not exactly a tourist hot spot, which was a good thing. I keep meaning to read that one. The only books of his that I've read were Libra (great) and Cosmopolis (not quite so great).

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm resurrecting this thread. This is the decription of the show this weekend in San Francisco, from the flavorpill e-mail:

An Italian city that's not really Italian, written by a woman who wasn't always. A book about places and people that are neither one thing nor the other, or maybe they're both.
