  1. critics that have at least a BS in critique, and there must be more than four of them acting in unison.
  2. Black Sabbath > Paranoid > Master of Reality > Vol 4 > Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Harvest > Time Fades Away > On The Beach > Tonight's The Night > Zuma
  3. seems totally random...all these are overrated ones? http://www.discogs.com/Various-All-That-Is-Now-15-Tracks-From-The-Best-New-Albums/master/606950
  4. They are no Bad Brains but not good? Do you like that style of music in general?
  5. Minor Threat???. Just based on Dischord Records alone, I can't see how they are deemed overrated. Social D, 100% overrated. Arcade Fire Jeff Buckley Pearl Jam Animal Collective The Beach Boys
  6. the worst was the Mon/Tues kickoff to last week...Fuzz and St Vitus. Fuzz didn't get on until 11:45PM or so, and St Vitus played until 12:30 as well. factor in a 45 min drive home and the week was blasted for me.
  7. i left after the 3rd song. they seemed fine, just wanted to get home and get to bed at a reasonable hour since i got home from the Pelican show at around 1:40.
  8. Pelican last night, Franz Ferdinand tonight
  9. The Jackson Five are in, so the quota's been filled. we're good.
  10. count me against having it on the 4th... too many other plans coincide.
  11. interesting list: http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/10/the-20-worst-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-snubs/ i definitely agree w/ some of these.
  12. Austin TX http://wilco.kungfustore.com/category/491-roadcase/product/4466-roadcase-023-october-11-2013-austin-tx-wilr23
  13. i for one care greatly about HOF and their noise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8aNGVt79r4
  14. name recognition, that's all. i think Kiss definitely had more an impact on rock music than Westerberg et al did. Sure, they never wrote anything nearly as good as "Unsatisfied" but that's not the point here, is it? hell, if we are just going off songwriting, Robyn Hitchcock should have been in years ago.
  15. Chandler's solos last night were so awful they pushed into the category of incredibly awesome.
  16. Hall & Oates have written a lot of great tunes. i wouldn't know a Paul Butterfield song if a 12 bar blues song hit me in the cranium.
  17. i share your disdain for Chic and Cat Stevens, but The Meters were pretty influential and Zigaboo Modeliste is definitely one of the greatest drummers ever. as well as having the best name.
