the worst was the Mon/Tues kickoff to last week...Fuzz and St Vitus. Fuzz didn't get on until 11:45PM or so, and St Vitus played until 12:30 as well. factor in a 45 min drive home and the week was blasted for me.

i left after the 3rd song. they seemed fine, just wanted to get home and get to bed at a reasonable hour since i got home from the Pelican show at around 1:40.

name recognition, that's all. i think Kiss definitely had more an impact on rock music than Westerberg et al did. i share your disdain for Chic and Cat Stevens, but The Meters were pretty influential and Zigaboo Modeliste is definitely one of the greatest drummers ever. as well as having the best name.
