    Wilco Vinyl

I'm 19 and have been collecting records for about a year. My parents sold or threw all theirs out about the time I was born, but I've been scrounging around town & bought all the Wilco reissues. Oddly enough my next door neighbor at college is a year older than me, and he has a huge collection ranging from Moby Grape to Beach House. Anyway, I just don't see too many people my age having the patience to deal with vinyl. It may be a fad now, but for many young people it's just that, a fad or hobby that they'll lose interest in. I will say that when I know a new record comes with a digita
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWxZQp00HAM Always loved Jeff joining in on this version of a great song
  5. no thanks, but interesting
  6. I too am in that same boat, despite being berated by friends. I've enjoyed Funeral, Neon Bible, and the new one so far. Time will tell how they all pan out I suppose.
  7. Never would have guessed there would be Philip Glass in this thread. That is awesome.
  8. 1 A Nervous Tick Motion of the Head to the Left- Andrew Bird 2 Olsen Olsen- Sigur Ros 3 Smash the Mirror - The Who 4 All Because of You - U2 5 Behind That Locked Door - George Harrison 6 Trophy Wife - The National 7 Niagara Falls - Sufjan Stevens 8 Needle in the Hay - Elliott Smith 9 White Light/White Heat - Velvet Underground 10 Lush Life - John Coltrane
  9. That would explain things also, but it's not like this was a Nashville Skyline-ish change
  10. I've found that his voice has changed a bit since YHF (obviously since Uncle Tupelo), partly due to quitting smoking. Though sometimes I feel he actually sings more now as opposed to almost just 'talking' the lyrics.
  11. just got my copy on vinyl in today. sounds great!
  12. I'm a relatively young guy from Memphis, and I didn't know that about Beale. Thanks for the history lesson rowboat. (Oh yeah, I'm going to the show too)
