  1. Common Sense sort of reminds me of Elegant Transaction off of Born Again in the USA
  2. I lived vicariously through these recaps of the Fillmore run. Gracias, bbop
  3. Mine arrived Sunday (a day early from the expected delivery date), and it sounds fine. Just the standard black vinyl
  4. Lost highway-- great summation, I agree with all of that
  5. Mine is scheduled for delivery Monday the 12th. Going to be a long weekend.
  6. While we're at it, can we get Jeff on Maron's WTF podcast? Maybe schedule it during their LA residency, please?
  7. All I know is that I love the recordings included with The Wilco Book, and I am ready for the vinyl to ship. (And I hope I win the guitar)
  8. Tentative ranking: AM BT MA ST MAII YHF AGIB SBS W(TA) TWL SW S
  9. I think I spin either A Ghost is Born or Being There on vinyl about twice a month.
  10. Man I'd love to hear a quiet, piano-driven version of "Venus..." live, but I don't see that one happening.
  11. I Must Be High or Hotel Arizona. Cold beer in the backyard on a hot Saturday with the volume up! Then California Stars on a summer night
  12. I definitely think that was Jeff. That song was in the original movie Fargo.
  13. Great to hear - I'm glad he was able to stop even for a minute and chat, can only imagine how much of a hurry he had to be in delivering all of those.
  14. Damn mother nature, it was weird hearing IATTBYH after The Joke Explained. But Handshake Drugs -> Cold Slope was nice.
  15. Seeing Empire Burlesque mentioned reminded me how Dark Eyes is one of my favorite Dylan songs.
  16. The guitars toward the end of Where Do I Begin, once the drum fill comes in, remind me heavily of the sound on AGIB. On a side note, woke up with Random Name Generator in my head this morning & it won't leave!
  17. Ha. . I brought it up last night because while preparing to move, I found a dvd copy of Being There. Probably haven't watched it in 10 years. I was a bit young to see it in theaters back in '79
  18. The 2nd Wilco lp sharing the name with a famous movie
  19. Just want to share my admiration for How Will the Wolf Survive, one of the first records I ever bought.
  20. First Wilco album I bought was SBS. That said, my tastes have changed over time as initially YHF & AM didn't click with me like SBS, AGIB or ST. To this day I'm not the biggest fan of W(TA) or TWL. My list: YHF AGIB ST SW BT SBS AM TWL W(TA)
