Hearing She's a Jar & Too Far Apart, then Red Eyed & Blue right into I Got You was truly amazing -
D-man wonders why you guys don't like the Whole Love?

I'm 20, have been listening to Wilco passionately for 4 years, and I can say my problem with The Album is indifference. Wilco works best with mostly personal & passionate lyrics mixed with their alt style of badass rock & roll. I really enjoy the whole love & every album besides Wilco the Album. If I can enjoy the album as a whole, it helps me to appreciate each track even more, and the meaning of a particular song, but that just never happened with W(TA). -
both new ones are great

It seems pretty popular, let's just name She's A Jar as #1
-
"I guess all this history is just a mystery to me, one more worried whisper right in my ear." "My voice is climbing walls, smoking and I want love." "No one is ever gonna take my life from me- I lay it down, a ghost is born, a ghost is born."

Last time I start drinking at noon haha. Let's change that to Colin, but hey I'm sure Jonny could play that.
-
Jonny Greenwood on bass also, it's a fabulous song & makes I Might sound 10x better
-
I will embarrassingly admit that is rather soothing
-
and so it is done. that was a good 24 hours.
-
Rising Red Lung reminds me of a Loose Fur track, and Sunloathe gets me in a Down with Wilco feeling.
-
Capitol City may be my favorite song of all time
-
I'm in the UK for a few weeks, so I had been hoping it'd be up at midnight in the US; alas, I shall check again about noon Chicago time when I'm free
-
Despite the album title, there are some cool titles of different songs on the album. And remember Art of Almost & Song for Jane Smiley's Boyfriend should be pretty long songs.
-
Actually I agree with that, but I've got to wait until at least a stream of the album is up to possibly be disappointed.

Good lord

This just makes me laugh with your frowning ghost avatar
-
agreed. I can hear Ray Manzarek coming out through those keyboards as well. I like the fuzz guitar & background vocals. Not much for Glenn to do on this one though. Also pretty faithful cover of Nick Lowe, sounds fine.

Up for streaming as well http://justgettothegoodpart.tumblr.com/post/6893428407/driver-suprise-me-wilco-i-might-holy-moly

Well that sounds nice... ok, I'm back on board.
-
As long as there's no duet with Feist I should be able to handle it then.
-
I'm giving up on this album
-
that's the preview we get?
-
Jeff also had a funny quip about Godsmack playing a stage over & thanked everyone for coming, having made such a tough choice

just got back, very wet as always but the show was on.. The band sounded awesome as always & seemed excited to play for the first time since October. Nothing new was brought out, standard songs. Jody Stephens played drums on the final song though, Big Star's "In the Street". Stirratt doing his Chilton again. I'll try to remember songs..
