  4. So what's the deal with this venue exactly? There's not a lot of info available at it's web page except that it's called "The Warsaw at the Polish National Home". What's it's capacity and is it near any other local sites of interest? I'm just looking for an excuse to hit NYC in June, so yeah.
  5. At least there are some physical similarities between Mercury and Cohen. I can totally see Cohen in one of Freddy's outrageous Lycra/Spandex outfits. He can probably do a pretty good job imitating Freddy's voice also
  6. Don't know what to make of this. Not terribly keen on these life stories of the celebrity set anyway. one thing tho....Much as I dig Johnny Depp I can't see him as Freddy Mercury.
  7. That's the key right there. All depends on what style/sound your into. I'll reiterate what was said above: Stay away from the Rickenbacker. If you plan on playing it around at all it can be a handful keeping it set up and in tune. I love 'em, have owned them and think it's safe to say everything else listed above are much more versatile instruments. A Rick 12 has a very individualistic sound. The Country Gentleman sounds very tempting; ( 6120-6122?) and contrary to what a lot of folks will tell you you can use it in a wide range of applications. You can look to guys like Neil Young and Pe
  8. I ADORE homemade scratch biscuits. I can't make 'em worth a damn, yet, but am lucky enough to know a few who can. And coffee
  9. There are two "Fulltone OCD" overdrives availible on ebay right now. Ones at $78 bucks US and one is starting at $120. Sound samples availible here One of my favorites and if you can snag one for about a hundred bucks you can't go wrong. I think it has the tone your going for.
  10. The new record is "OK". They were on Letterman last night. Nice lively performance. The sound was horrible tho.

  17. That's all I kept thinking about yesterday. That, and trying to struggle with what's happened here at home against what happens with such great frequency and greater scale in Iraq. O'Reilly has come out for gun control before. It's one of his few endearing traits.
