Is it just me or did John have one too many coffee?

Cause it certainly the hell isn't here!! I am so fed up with the snow and clouds...

Reminds you of the unrelenting power of nature - just so shocking how everything can be gone in a flash. How much warning, if any, did they have that a tsunami was approaching?

The Ramones... Montreal - Metropolis 1992? I had never been to a concert before and couldn't understand why we weren't trying to get closer to the stage. When the set started, there was a total rush to the stage like nothing I have experienced before or since. These big beefy punk guys with nose rings and tattoos were coming back with bloody noses. My first experience with a mosh pit - intense!

what would you ask them? For example, I would ask Jeff from which source(s) he currently derives his creative energy?

Why is there such disappointment over Wilco(The Album)?
AJ673 replied to realrival's topic in Just A Fan
The whole album just seemed safe for them, from top to bottom. No real change in mood, atmosphere. No continual vibe from start to finish. (Except blah) No ride to be taken on. Perhaps Bennett was Tweedy's muse... -
Have only taken my (then) 5 year old to a Wilco show. 1) Bring many forms of ear protection. The music might not be as loud at a solo show but the crowd will hopefully be! 2) Understand that if the child is not interested or bored, you may have to pack it in early. 3) Listening to Wilco (or any music) as opposed to experiencing it live may be easy for us to understand but not for a child of that age. My daughter had watched all the videos (at her request) and heard all the songs but her favourite part of her first live indoor concert experience were the escalators in the lobby and the app

as an artist in your I-tunes player (or whatever you may have) what would your top 5 most played Wilco songs be?

Is this why so many of the band members have side projects? To fully express their creative abilities?
-
How much of a creatice input could he have had?
-
I disagree - to create music with people is completely different then creating on your own.

To my knowledge the boys involved with the the Neil Finn project layed down most of the tracks without Nel's presence. How do you consienscly (sp? sorry!) create an album without an intregal band member? How does that fact forbode with the next album's generation?

From Newfoundland actually - what's wrong with my spelling? It's frustrating because I can honestly say that I have never had a band that I could call a favourite before - until HE introduced me to Wilco. It took a while but it did rub off on me (please no more comments!) But now I feel like I've intruded on his space - his music thing. He has tried to get me into new stuff like the National, but primarly listens to oh, shall we say, avante-garde jazz, which I find very difficult to get into. I thought he would be happy that we have a common musical interest, but everytime I play Wilco (wh

ODG!!! - perhaps that was not the best choice of words... LOL!

I have to say this cause it's been bugging me (I'm married to a bass player - sorry in advance)- they play Handshake Drugs on the Ashes DVD but I feel that they didn't show enough of John when the main bass line came in. During any Nels guitar solo they zoomed right in - but John was completely obscurred. Any comments? Whoops - was meant to be attached to something else...

My husband commented last night that I need to find a new favourite band... I was only wearing a Wilco T whilst listening to YHF whist making supper. I reminded him that I could have much worse taste in music...

Should we be worried that it didn't make a profit this year or does this happen to all major festivals during their inaugural year? I'm just hoping that fact doesn't prevent another...

Do any other wives get a slight shiver when their husband says Via Chicago is his favourite song?? (Purely for the dynamics of course!)
-
I can't believe how up close and personal that experience with Nels looked - I'm not even allowed to set foot in the basement if my husband's not home!

Any transcripts/vids of the press conference?
