  1. It's on the vinyl release. I think it is a Linda Thompson song.
  2. You could also try searching on "summer" or "contest" in this section of Via Chicago. There's also the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. An Email From the Wilco HQ Staff
  3. There are photos of that scene in The Beatles Anthology book. The public library here where I live has the film on VHS. I use to rent it back in the late 80s/early 90s.
  4. A pretty cool essay on Dire Wolf - by way of the Grateful Dead Guide.
  5. I noticed David stated something to the effect of "exciting news" with regards to 2013 releases. I am guessing they will be doing more boxsets. I'd like to see some more of those An Evening with The Grateful Dead featuring The New Riders Of The Purple Sage shows released. Or some of the 1970 GD acoustic shows.
  6. I wonder what the story is behind this? Maybe it was part of the Betty Boards? Ok - Dave says it was Dan Healy who did the tapes.
  7. I am not sure I have ever heard a show from 1976. Dave's Picks Volume 4
  8. Ryan Adams: Losering, a Story of Whiskeytown (book)
  9. I was re-reading that NY Times article and was struck by this part: I wonder if he means years ago or recently?
  10. Here what is looks like: PONO on Letterman. I think it's neat - but I won't buy it. I don't really listen to music unless I am home. So the the stereos I have do me just fine.
  11. By way of Thrasher's Wheat: That would be pretty cool if they did a song together.
  12. By way of Billboard.com: by Billboard Staff | September 27, 2012 10:45 EDT Meet The Beatles' Massive Vinyl Box Set
  13. It will be nice to see it in a non scratchy-good sounding format. Plus - it is something with Brian Jones. I wonder if they used any of 25x5: The Continuing Adventures of the Rolling Stones (1989) in the new film.
  14. That film was made in 1965-1966. You can watch it on Youtube. This is the first time it has been released in any sort of commercial format (I think).
  15. It wasn't really my cup of tea - but it was a class we had to take. I think I still have the book around here somewhere. For those who have read The Devil In The White City - a documentary about H.H. Holmes.
  16. I once had to write a rather large paper on that book in a class I had in college. It was taught by an old school post WW II guy. The class was mainly made up of football players - who were not exactly happy about being there.
  17. Revolution (TV show) This show already reminds me of: Jeremiah (2002-2004), The Postman (1997), V (1983), and Red Dawn (1984).
  18. Beth Orton - Sugaring Season (whole album by way of NPR)
  19. Don't pay for shows - that's not a good thing to do. Don't let someone rip you off. This is the section of Via Chicago where you can search for shows: Greatest Lost Track of All Time. It's up at bt.etree.org. But the seed is dead. You can direct download the show here: 2009-06-28. (courtesy of the Wilco Archive)
  20. I'd say Robert has his own thing going on - and I would be surprised if he gave that up to do more LZ shows.
  21. It's a trip to see rock gods turn into old men.
