  1. I am sure the shows will be just fine. Put them up at bt.etree.org - and everyone can grab them.
  2. They turned down the request to be on there. That is sort of what led to The Live Wilco Archive.
  3. I have to disagree with the "poor quality recordings" statement. AUD shows sound just fine to me. Of course, depending on the type of equipment, and the experience of the taper, the quailty will be different. It's just another way for the band to make some money. Believe it or not, there are still people out there who sell bootlegs, and people who will still buy them. So I think they may be doing this as a way to kill that. I believe that is why Pearl Jam began selling live shows.
  4. The Allman Brothers Band policy is even weirder. They allow taping, but no online trading - only through the mail trading.
  5. Let's hope they don't change anything. Those you want to buy live shows can do so and be happy. And those who collect (for lack of a better term) AUD and old SBD shows can continue doing what they do.
  6. Let's hope not. This is nice for those who have wanted such a thing - but I have to say, I won't buy them.
  7. True - I meant the mostly illegal BT sites, of course.
  8. I have heard nothing - so far. I hope it does not change it. I bet those shows will end up on a BT site or blog eventually.
  9. It is whatever they call it. The Who will sell more tickets than Pete and Roger plus some other dudes playing Who songs.
  10. I was watching a documentary about the Bolin era Deep Purple today on Youtube.
  11. By way of Billboard.com:
  12. There was also a photo of a tinfoil sculpture perched on someone's rearview mirror. John's maybe?
  13. No - he retired from the band in 2002 (I think). Don Airey plays the keyboards in the band now.
  14. I have one. There should be a photo of it in the pinned thread.
  15. I still have some stuff she wrote at home somewhere. It took me back a ways when I saw that photo of her posted on the website. I can't recall if she was here when I first joined or not. (Sunday - August 18th, 2002).
  16. Get Vitalogy and No Code while you are at it. Those are great albums.
  17. You can still find all sorts of shows for free by way of Dime a Dozen, and bt.etree.org. By way of Billboard.com:
  18. That is weird as hell. UPS are the new roadies?
  19. There are a few Wilco shows like that out there. Not a lot, but a few.
  20. There are actually (at the moment) two FM sources and two AUD sources out there.
  21. I always thought she was anti-internet in general. I guess she has changed her mind.
