Official Doctor Who discussion thread
Analogman replied to Welsh Rich's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I'm finding A Christmas Carol (2010) a bit dull. Maybe I have watched too many episodes in a row. I rather like The Next Doctor (2008) Christmas episode. -
I figure that is one of the reasons he may show up - he wouldn't want him up there on the stage.
-
That's a good sign.
-
We'll see. I have not seen them since then either. I use to tape them.
-
I would say you should be able to find them out there somewhere, but it could be you would find only Mp3s. I think the files I have are FLAC - but I am not sure about that. I will have to look.
-
There is a Phish thread . . .
-
I don't see him and Slash sharing a hug, but stranger things have happened. It's good to see The Small Faces and Faces get some recognition. I say that as those are two of my favorite bands. It would be nice to see Rod up there with the guys, but I will be surprised if that happens also.

I think there is a Genesis thread where some people talked about the re-masters. -

I rather like it when they have some sort of historical figure centered episode. -

That was a nice flash of the original Doctor in the Vincent and The Doctor episode. And some more in The Lodger. When I was a teenager, the Cybermen were my favorite Doctor Who bad dudes. -
Solid Sound 2010 Missing from Wilco World Shows Archive
Analogman replied to -seven's topic in Just A Fan
I think that is probably due to the setlists not existing on Wilcobase - which is where all that information came from. You can find the information by way of the BT threads in the In A Future Age Section (August 2010). Or - by way of the shows at The Wilco Live Show Archive. I wish the "hamburger video" was still up somewhere. I rather like that song - Soulshine. Warren must really like the song - as he seems to play it all the time. The only time I saw the band, Dickey and Woody were still in the band.
-
I say disagree, in that to my ears they are playing with feeling. I don't see them as lacking creativity. Of course - they are not Duane and Dickey - but who is? I am sort of surprised they are still playing shows. I would think they may hang it up before too long.

Greg's health issues have to due with Hep C, and the liver transplant he had. You can't have the Allman Brothers Band without Greg Allman. That's crazy. I also disagree with the comments about Derek and Warren. They are great guitar players.

The hardest working man in the music business. I wonder if that guy ever takes a rest?
-
I figured that is what the deal was. I recall reading somewhere they were going to start doing the play a whole album at each show thing. I rather enjoy the version that is on the 9/19/1971 archive release.

I'm up to The Vampires of Venice episode. I think this new guy is pretty witty. -
It seems odd to me that they are even doing that song.
-
I wonder if that is due to his solo tour? I mean to say - I wonder if he took on too much this past year.
-
I think we had to take those sorts of things down. I can't recall exactly.
-
I happened to look in one of the giant cd bins at Walmart yesterday. I figured it was only greatest hits, but I noticed they have cds such as all the Van Halen remasters for 5 bucks each.

Here's another one: Jethro Tull - Aqualung (40th Anniversary - the $17.98 version) Jethro Tull - Aqualung (40th Anniversary - the $136 version) I have the 1996 edition - and it does sound really bad. I have read this new release is suppose to be good. (I believe I use to own this album on 8-Track back in the day.)
