Problem Signing In (just last 2 days)
Analogman replied to roadhse ma's topic in Speakers Speaking In Code
Sometimes it works, sometimes I still have to open it as a new tab. -
The Faces are going to do some US dates next year - but Rod is clearly out of the picture. I think I read an interview the other day with Dave Davies - he said he can't stand to be around Ray very long.

Do you want to own a piece of John Lennon?

I think a few years ago some Elvis sweat and a cup of ice water were up for sale on Ebay. -
I believe more than one person has offered. I also prefer Wilcobase instead of blogs, FM whatever the hell it is, and magazine websites.

The Jayhawks (including Louris, Olson, and related)

I got the new album in the mail today. I noticed that there was a sticker on the front that stated "limited deluxe edition" - just like the new Wilco album. I don't recall seeing that before. I wonder how many are being made, and why they have made them limited. I noticed a typo in the cd booklet. The song Closer To Your Side is listed as Closer To Your. -
It's not all young kids: If you look around, you will see images of WWII vets, union members, grandmothers, and all sorts of people there.

That is what I have been doing. Oddly enough, it worked fine this morning. -

The Beatles fan photo blog I read has a lot of photos of George standing in the front door of that house. Amazing to think there was a time when you could just walk up there, knock on the door, and get your photo taken with a Beatle.
-
The house in Surrey? There is actually a blog out there dedicated to John's old house.

It's probably out there in FLAC somewhere. I saw a copy on Ebay for 150 bucks. That is insane.
-
It's from a Summeteeth bonus disc called "and sum aren't".
-
I believe they were put up by fans, the same as those put up at bt.etree.org. I don't know if the new sources or new SBDs that have been appearing get put up there or not.
-
There are a couple of threads about it - if you want to read them: More Mermaid Avenue Mermaid Avenue Deluxe Edition
-
I could be wrong. Rhino is all about the physical product - so it would seem odd if they gave up doing cds.
-
I checked out the thread. It seems there may be another side to the story.

I was thinking it was a pop-up blocker issue. But - I don't use one of those, outside of what Firefox uses. -

At home, I have to open the sign-in in a new tab in order to sign in. I use Firefox. I just figured it was some sort of Firefox problem. -

I forgot about the download series. I have a few Dick's Picks, and a couple Road Trips. I don't have the money or desire to collect them all. And as you say - SBD shows keep popping up quite regularly these days. I still wonder how that guy is getting away with what he does.
-
He died in March 1973. His last show was in June 1972. There are some shows with just Jerry/Phil/Bob/Billy/Keith.
-
Road Trips Series Ends with Boston ’76 I wonder if that means they will go to a download only deal, and do away with the physical product.
-
The vocals are overdubbed.
-
I don't think I have ever actually heard any of their songs besides Come and Get Your Love.
-
You can probably find their songs on Youtube. That is what I do when I want to hear something. I can't imagine too many people here knowing about their songs outside of their big hit single.
