I can't stand to hear that song, the same way I can't stand to hear Stairway To Heaven, or Freebird. But, I have always liked Jerry's part. I have often read that he did not think much of it.

I just recalled those threads and thought maybe someone might want to look at them.

If Hollywood picked up Wilco who would the cast be? Tweedy in Almost Famous
-
You probably know this - but that was a joke. I am just a loser who has wasted most of his time online, when I should have been doing something else. As you said, it's not hard to learn what Wilco is doing. All one has to do is look at their official website, sign up for the email deal, or use the search function on this message board. I think the person who started this thread really just wants people to clink on the gigantic link in his signature line. One thing I find annoying here these days - people pushing their products and not really participating here, except to start threads

I should have posted it again. Thanks for posting the link.

I don't care for the band, but it is impressive that they came out of the 80s, and are still making albums that sell in the millions, and doing successful tours.
-
On the press release that lists the tour dates, there is an asterisk next to some shows. At the bottom of the page, it says those shows are electric only. I am guessing it had to do with curfew, or some other logistical problem.
-
I believe both of the Texas shows were noted as being electric sets only.

Taper's Section (September 27 - October 3, 2010)

I like some of it. I dig around on Youtube, and check out various tracks.

I've read some stuff about the Northern Soul movement. I first learned about it by way of a Mojo Magazine article.

At The Wigan Casino?

There was a time when they use to cover Faces songs. I don't recall seeing those songs in the set list for quite a while. The BC Tour Blog has been updated with a nice post about their Georgia Music Hall of Fame ceremony.

I think he also said he was a fan, but did not really know any of his songs. Rick bought that album. I forget how much he paid the guy for it.
-
I've read that it was not staged. Someone must have done some research and knew that he often walks around the town where he is playing.
-
Deborah Koons I have feeling it has been re-done a few times. I think Rock Scully talks about that place in his book. Bill Kreutzmann just showed up in the list of people I should add as a friend on Facebook.

I wonder who owns it now. I've read that his estate was not worth very much when he died.
-
From the set lists I have seen, Tom Petty has been playing a good bit of the new album this summer. I often think of something that Neil kept saying in Shakey - "they won't play it on the radio anyhow".
-
A lot of the recent tour is just not out there anywhere.
-
A lot of people don't seem to care for the acoustic songs, or the so-called country rock songs. The only one I look at is the one at Crowesbase.
-
I don't think I had heard that show before either. (I really wish Wilco had signed off on letting their live shows be posted at Archive.org.)

By way of Mountain Bed: Grateful Dead Live at Fillmore East on 1970-09-20 Taper's Section (September 20-September 26, 2010)

Last night's show (9/19/2010), is up at bt.etree.org. (I am think about making a thread in the bit torrent section to list all the shows from this tour. Is there enough interest around here to spend time on doing that?)
