That's right. He joined them in 1976 I think. I'm not all that knowledgeable about those so-called "faceless mid-western bands." They are were all very big when I was in the 7th/8th grade, but I never really listened to them. I think it is sort of funny that right now you can find more recent REO Speedwagon shows on Dime a Dozen, than recent Wilco shows.

Aerosmith has not put out an album of entirely original songs since 2001. I've read several articles about bands canceling shows due to low ticket sales. Rush is doing good, from what I have heard. I think Aerosmith is like AC/DC or Kiss. They may release a new album, but at this point, people go to their shows to hear the hits. I suppose they get that sort of money because they can.

I think Tommy and J.Y. are the only dudes from the orignal band that are still in the band now. Just like Journey, Yes, etc., they found a guy who could sing their former front man, and decided to carry on with the show. Something new I have noticed lately - a lot of those bands are now doing shows together. So you end up getting a Kansas/Styx/whoever else show. I guess they do pretty well playing sheds, casinos, and whatnot.

I read something last night that stated they have began to ban cameras and people using cell phones at their shows.

He didn't produce Southern Harmony, George Drakoulias did.

I didn't notice that, or I would have not posted it. If you dig around, I am sure you can find the complete Lost Lennon Tapes somewhere. There is no reason to have to buy such things these days.

That is from the Imagine film. It was footage from the recording of the album at his mansion (Ascot). The rest of that is various clips from films that he and Yoko use to make. There was a period of time when they filmed everything they did through out the day.

I was agreeing with you.

I have stacks of those.

I can see what he is saying, but as you say, the songs are so generic. Snakes and dice? No thanks. I do like the song Human Touch though.
-
It was on the Milk and Honey album. I think I read somewhere once that it was actually a song he wrote for Ringo.

Of course, there was a fix for that thing. But, it makes me nervous. If I recall correctly, it would not play without skipping or jumping around, like the Son Volt album The Search. Or maybe it was only that the DVD side would play. It was something like that. I believe I heard the last album, but decided not to buy it.

The Devils and Dust album was the last one I bought. I don't think I have played it since I found out about the Sony BMG Rootkit deal.

I never much cared for the song Murder Incorporated. I always thought it sounded like Bruce trying to do hard rock or something.
-
It's catchy.

I don't think I would really be interested in anything after Nebraska. Plus, a lot of that stuff is out there to be had. I also wish he would do something with the first two albums. Also, since he stopped other people from putting it out, it would be nice to see an official release of Before The Flame, and the rest of those demos.

Something I found on Jambands.com: Bob Weir Shares New Tune via Facebook Road Trips Vol. 3 No. 4 Taper's Section (August 30 - September 5, 2010)

It's the band's policy. Supposedly, they don't allow photos either, but that seems to have been overlooked as of late. PHOTO AND TAPING POLICIES (NOTE CHANGES AS OF March 2010)

They played it in Indianapolis on the 25th. No source as appeared yet though. I just grabbed the Milwaukee show. Chris stopped to make a speech about people talking during the acoustic set.

Let It Be Gone is a song off the Grease Band album. Cold Boy Smile is on the Brothers of a Feather live album. Polly is a Dillard and Clark song. Isn't It About Time is a Manassas song. I am glad they at least choose some cover songs that one does not hear all the time.

Yes, and a drum/percussion deal.

I'm listening to the Milwaukee show. Steve is killing it on Let It Be Gone. I tried to get some tickets for the Pittsburgh show yesterday - no luck.

LENNONNYC This is coming out October 5th: Double Fantasy Stripped Down I can't say I ever cared for that album. It may be interesting to hear it without the slick production though.
