I've seen a few articles posted at various places today that state Van Halen is working on a new album.

Taper's Section (August 9 - August 15, 2010)

In that audio interview I posted with Steve, he really lets it be known that he was not to happy with Lions, and he does not even mention By Your Side at all.

That's not to surprising. I went by one of those record stores. I don't where we were at the time though. I just happened to notice it as we went by - it was in some shopping plaza.

I am not familiar enough with their songs to know - someone might though. I wonder if all of the interviews are going to be with Chris? It would be nice to hear someone else.

I think I may like the first disc better. The vocals are really good.

It was on some H.O.R.D.E. promo cd, and then on The Lost Crowes. I think they are different takes. The new version of Good Friday sounds like something off of Dark Side of The Moon.

You may want to check out the last two (Warpaint and Before the Frost/Until the Freeze). Some songs I would have liked to have heard on the new album: Seeing Things, Title Song, Feathers, Miracle to Me, Thunderstorm 6:54, Peace Anyway, Wyoming & Me

I question some of the song choices, but I figure everyone has a thought about what they would have liked to see on there. Like Wilco, you can readily tell how tight they are from so much touring.

I figure it is a pressing from the 1980s (I think there were some made by way of the vinyl album being copied). I would be surprised if it was an original pressing.

When I was out of town, I got to see a whole stack of vintage Beatle vinyl bootlegs. I don't think they had ever been played and they were in pretty good condition. It was interesting to see something I had read about, but never seen. I also got to see the Two Virgins album. I am trying to figure out if it was the original pressing. I posted in this thread due to the location, but I actually somewhat agree with you. We don't need to know such things. We just need to know where and when the show is, and how much the tickets are going to cost. I mean no offense to Mr, Skywalker, but it does seem sort of an odd thing to post on here.

I meant when you open up the cd, a pop-up appears in the middle of the cd artwork. (It's those bird guys sitting in the woods.) They have been putting stickers in their albums for a few years now. No booklet in this release though. I don't think the old albums had stickers in them. Another thing about Three Snakes - the artwork is terrible.

We are getting Widespread Panic in September, and The Drive-By Truckers in October in Morgantown.
