  1. Which is now owned by the Concord Music Group. I didn't know he changed labels.
  2. I would. Chris is not doing that scream singing deal now, he hasn't for a while. I saw this on Jambands.com yesterday: A lot of the shows are popping up on bt.etree.org now.
  3. Bob Lefsetz had a post about this album the other day: Mellancamp He also has a box set coming out. He is putting on quite a show - a stripped down set, then a film, and then a full band set.
  4. I did not know about that. As someone who use to post too much negative shit, it does get old, when you stand back and look at it from a distance. I see that on about every fansite I look at, but I suppose it sticks out more on the site you spend the most time viewing. That's a shame, as it is a great site. I use to to follow HyperRust (the website), but I don't think it has been updated in several years. The thing is, Neil, like Dylan can and does whatever the hell he wants.
  5. I don't really care for either of those albums, but I would rather listen to Lions. It appears Steve does not think very much of Lions either. I recall there was a code card in the cd case to download a live show. I had no idea what that was about at the time. I also have a copy of the Lions premiere web cast they did. (Youtube links)
  6. It looks like he was right. As he is going to be on that horrible show.
  7. Watch: Roger Waters and David Gilmour’s July reunion
  8. Bob Dylan tries new ticket-selling model for San Francisco gig That is an interesting idea. It's like the old days, but I don't suppose the road manager will be walking around with paper bags full of money this time.
  9. Neil Young to Tour Gulf Coast In September
  10. He also likes Johnny Rivers version of Positively 4th Street.
  11. I didn't figure anyone would get that, unless they were a Dylan freak of some sort. How about Bruce Springsteen's version of Chimes Of Freedom?
  12. I agree with what he is saying. But then, for me Dylan is always been about the lyrics.
  13. Oh I meant all of those pop bands. Not Fairport Convention. Manfred Man also did Just Like A Woman (1966). I suppose some of that was due to success The Byrds had covering Dylan. Which I have never really cared for all that much. I don't consider Ballad of Easy Rider a Dylan song, as he gave McGuinn the opening, and Roger wrote the rest.
  14. I think a lot of those later British Invasion bands did not really have the songwriting talent The Beatles had, so they turned to doing covers in search of a hit. I wonder who was the first British band to cover Dylan? Manfred Man?
  15. Pretty cool story: When Heartbreaker Mike Campbell met a young fan, he didn't just string him along
  16. I'd say you are right. Some of them go back to Wicked Lester, and beyond. You should check out that book (KISS: Behind the Mask - Official Authorized Biography).
  17. In that really good KISS book I mentioned around here before, Gene talks about that song. There is (or was) a video on Youtube of Gene and Paul doing that song acoustically. I still think those first three albums are great.
  18. Goin' Blind is one of my favorite KISS songs.
  19. I know we had Rock 'n' Roll Music, The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl, and Love Songs. I don't think I ever owned 20 Greatest Hits though. There is also The Beatles Collection, Rarities, Reel Music (I think I had a tape of this one), and The Beatles: The Collection.
  20. That may be about it - older shows are often hard to find. That is one of the reasons The Wilco Live Show Archive was created.
