New Pornographers not welcomed at Calvin College
Analogman replied to IATTBYB's topic in Someone Else's Song
I think he means this one: Jeff Tweedy (2005-11-10). -
I am not a fan of By-Tor and The Snow Dog either. I have heard that the new album is going to be some sort of concept album, or at least contain some epic length tracks.
-
They played Georgia on My Mind the other night when they were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. I would like to hear that.
-
I don't need that. I believe the song has been played a few times since then.

For those of you who watch Pawn Stars:
-
I could go for that, except for The Necromancer. I have never cared much for that epic.
-
Although there are exceptions, I am not really a fan of someone singing solo with an electric guitar. Neil does what he does though.
-
I think Alex has also spoke of doing a show where they play lesser known songs, or songs that never really got played. But I think that is really unrealistic, unless their is enough die hard Rush fanatics that would show up to make it worth their while. I think when I saw them a while back the crowd definitely consisted of people who were very familiar with the band, and knew what was going on. As far as I could tell, people seemed to be really into the show. I am not really familiar with their albums past Moving Pictures, so a lot of the songs they played were new to me.

Another Billboard article about the new album: Neil Young Goes Electric for 'Le Noise'

I didn't think it was very good. Some funny stuff, but not really a lot of music talk.
-
I was listening to Anthem of The Sun and the bonus track jams on the re-issue of Aoxomoxoa the other day.

A lot of people seem to want Jacob's Ladder. I would like to see them play Here Again/Before And After, The Fountain of Lamneth, or a A Farewell To Kings show.

Some really cool stuff showing up on You Tube
Analogman replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Just A Fan
Some of them do appear on torrent sites from time to time. It's seems to be mainly a B&P through the mail sort of deal. -
I saw this posted on the Crowesbase message board:
-
I think like KISS, they were getting ready to make an album without song doctors and ballads, so maybe Joe is upset about that being put on hold again.
-
I think they should hang it up, and not get some guy who is going to copy Steven. I sort of hoped those god awful Idol shows were on their way out, but I guess they are not. Steven Tyler's 'Idol' Gig Means Aerosmith May Take A Permanent Vacation
-
I have not watched it, but I read somewhere that the band gave them soundboard audio to use with the film they made.

The Jayhawks (including Louris, Olson, and related)

I found this on The Jayhawks message board: Legacy Bumps Jayhawks Reissues to Next Year -

Criminal Minds Similar to a lot of other crime shows, it has probably been on too long at this point. I just started watching it not to long ago. So it is new to me. Two of the shows I use to watch are no longer on - so I am looking for some new shows to watch.

The Moody Blues Threshold of a Dream: Live at the Isle of Wight Festival (1970)

I think you managed to combine the original groove and the Band Of Gypsys version there.

That's a trip.
