Rolling Stones' Exile On Main Street Week
Analogman replied to u2roolz's topic in Someone Else's Song
I don't think it is very good. It's definitely a new vocal (plus other things) over an old track. Rolling Stones - Plundered My Soul (Youtube link) I am all for bonus tracks, but I am not a fan of tracks that have been messed with years and years past the time when they were made. -
That show has been posted a few times. According to the db.etree.org link for the Wilco show that day, some of the Black Crowes did play with Wilco. I've never seen the Wilco show from that date - but it must be out there somewhere. I finally got the Cabin Fever DVD the other day.
-
If nothing else, it will be cool to hear the AUD tapes. I would think some of the show will be no taping though, as I bet they will be filming some of them for a DVD release. If they don't do that, I will be surprised.

I guess the people in Seattle got a bonus: Pearl Jam Joins Team Conan on Tour, Covers Lennon and the Who

20 years - minus the years the band broke up, and hired and fired various members. I hope to see them sometime. SAY GOODNIGHT TO THE BAD GUYS is a reference to an episode of The Trailer Park Boys.

I did not catch the Human Fund deal.

I caught that right away.

I just looked for the heck of it. Some record store has one on there already - it's at 99 bucks after two bids.

That is a somewhat weird Dark Star. I like it. Grateful Dead Live at Crystal Ballroom on 1968-02-02

That does not make a whole lot of sense.

I use to have that book when I was a kid. It disappeared at some point over the years. It got re-printed in 2002.
-
It's worth having though, as you get studio chatter, a nice booklet, and that version of Big is different. There are probably some other differences also. I forgot about this: Some more information:

I'd say they did. The songs sound different to me. (I meant who wants Mp3s.)
-
But who wants that? I know, I know. I have what you just posted, plus I found another copy a few years back, and gave it to LB. It goes for about 40-50 bucks here I think. The Sundazed re-masters sound better than the tracks on Vintage: the Very Best of Moby Grape of Moby Grape.

I would think that photograph was take in one of the 120 rooms at Friar Park. I recall reading somewhere that Olivia sold the house in 2002.

My favorite 78 speed rock song is Magnolia Simms by The Monkees. It was simulated, and not really 78, like the Moby Grape song.

Just Like Gene Autry: A Foxtrot (written by Skip Spence, featuring Arthur Godfrey)

Besides the Edsel version of the first album, and the copy of Great Grape I have, I have still never seen any of the albums anywhere.

I read this a while back. I am going to buy a copy of it this month. The Monkees: The Day-By-Day Story of the 60s TV Pop Sensation
