  1. That is it. What is the deal with that site?
  2. Speaking of Fleetwood Mac, I once found a copy of the Buckingham-Nicks album in a Salvation Army. Some time ago, I was reading about a Led Zeppelin bootleg, that was housed in a book with photos. I once had a chance to buy it for 40 bucks (in the early 1990s) and I did not buy it. I think it goes for a lot more than that now. I can't recall the name of it. It may have been: Antrabata´s Studio Sessions Box Set. I take it Amazon is trying to give iTunes a run for its money. Is that right?
  3. I use to find treasures like that at the mall, at some chain record store. Every Christmas they would have a bin of stuff they wanted to get rid of - for 5 or 10 dollars. I found 200 Motels (VHS), and a Moby Grape cd there. This was pre-internet. Of course, the store is long since gone. It has been a long time since I had a place to go and find such things.
  4. That's always a nice thing. The cd I am looking for is this: The Vaudeville Years of Fleetwood Mac: 1968 to 1970 I have Mp3s of the tracks (I am grateful for that), but I want the real deal. What is funny to me, is that if you look on the page for the cd above, you will see a listing for Fleetwood Mac: Showbiz Blues 1968-1970. It is 20 bucks. I have that one, and that is what I paid for it. Why on earth is the companion to that set going for so much money? These sort of things boggle the mind.
  5. I agree - some people can tell the difference in sound. This is particularity noticeable depending on the bit rate, and what was used to rip/create the Mp3 files. I think the bit rate of Amazon's Mp3 files are 256. I don't know how they get the files though. I suppose that is nice that they offer such files for a low price, but I am still not willing to pay for Mp3 files. I don't mess with Mp3 files unless it is the only way I can get a song, or album (usually something that is out of print, found on a blog somewhere). It would be nice if they sold FLAC files. I suppose that may happen someday

  8. There is some pretty good information on the Wikipedia page for Free As A Bird
  9. It's no big deal. I doubt I've ever heard a dB's song, I just recall seeing the news of a reunion somewhere. Hell, J Mascis still bad mouths Murph (from time to time), and they are back together, so anything is possible.
  10. The dBs played some shows a couple of years ago. The New Riders of The Purple Sage are touring right now. I think ? and The Mysterians are still at it. I think a lot of bands get together in public or private (Buffalo Springfield) at some point down the road. How many of the original bands members particulate, or are still around, or want to participate is a different story. There are of course, several old bands now hiring sound a-like players to stand-in for departed members. I got here by way of Uncle Tupelo, and would love to see them play together. Whether it ever happens is up to them

  12. I think that was on due to the re-make. I didn't see any of the re-make though. The Prisoner was recently re-made also. I have always liked The Outer Limits better than The Twilight Zone (from a sci-fi point of view).
  13. I rather like watching old sci-fi shows from the early 1970s.
  14. The Starlost The Starlost (Wikipedia entry)
  15. They just put up: The complete Last Waltz Concert
  16. I have seen a lot of Son Volt shows popping up over the last few months. It use to be that I never saw any of their shows, and now, there seems to be several of them out there. If the show appears, it will most likely be on bt.etree.org or Dime a Dozen.

  18. A list where you can find the Neil Young songs Uncle Tupelo covered (by way of the great Factory Belt site). Also, Golden Smog use to do Revolution Blues and Powderfinger (if I recall correctly).
  19. "The House the Replacements Built” Torn Down
  20. Interesting. I have not used Windows 7. Those two things should be what you need in order to listen to FLAC files.
  21. And Will to Love I always think those two songs go together.
  22. Some recent (last 2 weeks) uploads: Bob Dylan & The Band Madison Square Garden (New York, NY) Jan 31st 1974 Set 1 Jan 31st 1974 Set 2 The Grateful Dead Winterland (San Francisco, CA) March 18th, 1967
  23. That is where I just watched the Pink Floyd episode. It looks like that is the only one they have streaming, as far as I can tell.
