Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, 11/7/09 NYC
Analogman replied to LouisvilleGreg's topic in After The Show
I don't know how true it is, but I was reading an interview somewhere with Steven not to long ago and he said they were taking some time off, but they would be back. -
I have not bought the cds yet, but I plan to get them eventually (the ones that came out a while back). I don't get the reason behind the limited edition high dollar deal though. He must have spent too much money messing around with his car a while back.

That is amazing that you think that.

I rather like that song too. When I was a young fellow, I knew lots of girls who fit that song. There are only a few years difference between the formation of Cheap Trick and U2 (1973/1976). (Although the members played together, and knew each other before they formed their respective bands. The same could be said of ZZ Top, and Aerosmith, who also go back to the mid-late 1960s) I knew we would get to Cheap Trick. I can't say I care for them, although I know a lot of people here do like them. Tom Petersson left Cheap Trick in 1980, and came back in 1987.

I think it does, with regards to people like Britney Spears, or whoever the teen star is currently. There is something about the whole idea that I find offensive for some odd reason. I suppose that is due to the fact that I prefer the album as a whole.

Aerosmith never really stopped. Joe left in late 1979, Brad left in 1981(replaced by Richard Supa/Jimmy Crespo/Rick Dufay) - but, by (Spring) 1984 they were back in the band. ZZ Top went on hiatus in 1977, and came back together in 1979. I think that is right - although I don't know the exact dates.

I'd say that is some sort of joke. It seems these days the place to get the scoop is a band member's Twitter page.

What's the consensus on Wilco (The Album)?

I always thought that term meant laid back soft rock, but according to the Urban Dictionary, it is music of the baby boomer generation. Dad Rock I guess that definition fits the music I prefer to hear. -
I like Movin' Out and Write me a letter. ZZ Top - 1969 Aerosmith - 1970

He was also called in to do some work on a few of the songs on Tracks some years back. -

I didn't know that he recently joined them. -
I remember when they were called that. You don't care for the fist album? I have always liked it. Aerosmith (1973) Billboard:

Well, I didn't want to go there. I had that book you were talking about. I got it for 2 bucks from some junk table in a book store. I gave it to a friend of mine. She is a big Aerosmith fan and use to go see them all over the country. I think I still have a print of the Toys in the Attic album cover that a friend of mine did in art class around 1978 or so. I think Night in the Ruts is a great album. I even own Rock In A Hard Place (on vinyl!). The last one I bought was Done With Mirrors (the original pressing had all of the text backwards). Wait - that is not true. I have Permanent Va

I am glad to see a young person such as yourself knowing a thing or two about Aerosmith. You may someday be the Last Child, and it will be up to you to carry everyone thorough the Seasons of Wither America will face in a world without Aerosmith. (Although actually I bet they get that German dude to sing, or pick someone out of a Aerosmith tribute band.)

Joe Perry has been putting Steven down for a while now in the various interviews he is doing for his new solo album. So, it is really No Surprise that they are fighting.

I was thinking of him when Moss posted. I was watching Irish Tour 1974 a while back.

Blackie Lawless is on That Metal Show this week.

Since I have been getting into Free lately, I have grown to recognize the talents of Paul Kossoff.

And Saxon are still at it. Like I said, it will be interesting to see if other forgotten metal bands try to duplicate what Anvil did with this film. Maybe Grave Digger and Laaz Rockit - LOL.

You should hear/see some footage of the Night In The Ruts tour, or Rock in a Hard Place tour. They were falling apart. I'd say it was more due to the fact that the music business had changed. MTV changed everything - so Aerosmith changed so they could have hit songs and hit albums. That is nothing new, and it still goes on to this day. MTV and/or Videos are no longer important, but a polished song is still more likely to become a hit more than something that is nice and ratty. Now, I began listening to the band around 1976 or so, so I prefer the old stuff. But, if I had got into them arou

Check this section of Via Chicago. Although, as you said - it will probably appear on Dime a Dozen, bt.etree.org, or The Traders' Den.

I have never really cared for the song Thundercrack. Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?, however, is one of my favorite Bruce songs. Wild Billy's Circus Story I have always liked also. I wonder if Vini Lopez and David Sancious were at the show.
