I remember when they were called that. You don't care for the fist album? I have always liked it. Aerosmith (1973) Billboard:

Well, I didn't want to go there. I had that book you were talking about. I got it for 2 bucks from some junk table in a book store. I gave it to a friend of mine. She is a big Aerosmith fan and use to go see them all over the country. I think I still have a print of the Toys in the Attic album cover that a friend of mine did in art class around 1978 or so. I think Night in the Ruts is a great album. I even own Rock In A Hard Place (on vinyl!). The last one I bought was Done With Mirrors (the original pressing had all of the text backwards). Wait - that is not true. I have Permanent Va

I am glad to see a young person such as yourself knowing a thing or two about Aerosmith. You may someday be the Last Child, and it will be up to you to carry everyone thorough the Seasons of Wither America will face in a world without Aerosmith. (Although actually I bet they get that German dude to sing, or pick someone out of a Aerosmith tribute band.)

Joe Perry has been putting Steven down for a while now in the various interviews he is doing for his new solo album. So, it is really No Surprise that they are fighting.

I was thinking of him when Moss posted. I was watching Irish Tour 1974 a while back.

Blackie Lawless is on That Metal Show this week.

Since I have been getting into Free lately, I have grown to recognize the talents of Paul Kossoff.

And Saxon are still at it. Like I said, it will be interesting to see if other forgotten metal bands try to duplicate what Anvil did with this film. Maybe Grave Digger and Laaz Rockit - LOL.

You should hear/see some footage of the Night In The Ruts tour, or Rock in a Hard Place tour. They were falling apart. I'd say it was more due to the fact that the music business had changed. MTV changed everything - so Aerosmith changed so they could have hit songs and hit albums. That is nothing new, and it still goes on to this day. MTV and/or Videos are no longer important, but a polished song is still more likely to become a hit more than something that is nice and ratty. Now, I began listening to the band around 1976 or so, so I prefer the old stuff. But, if I had got into them arou

Check this section of Via Chicago. Although, as you said - it will probably appear on Dime a Dozen, bt.etree.org, or The Traders' Den.

I have never really cared for the song Thundercrack. Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street?, however, is one of my favorite Bruce songs. Wild Billy's Circus Story I have always liked also. I wonder if Vini Lopez and David Sancious were at the show. -

A John Candy film.

I'd say they had some this-song-sounds-like-another-song songs in the very early days, but, I'd say they have long since got their own sound together. Just like R.E.M., Pearl Jam, The Cars, etc. have their own sound. I've said it before, but, if I want to listen to Neil Young, I listen to Neil Young, not some band that makes most of their music sound like Neil Young.

It's on the official Wilco site: Request A Song

There is also a website or two out there with old articles/interviews like the one GtrPlyr posted. The Gumbo Pages: Uncle Tupelo Wilco Actually, the other one was a Geocities Page, which is now gone. I copied and saved them all a while back. The whole deal comes out to 117 pages, which is too much to post here. It looks like the Wayback Machine has it: Nutnhunee (articles and interviews)

Here is a link to a nice page with photos and text: Jerry's guitars. Maybe someone could make a page like that for Jeff.

It could be a Specimen Guitar, as some of them are made out of aluminum.

He began using the guitar (a Travis Beam TB 1000A) in 1975. According to Wikipedia:

That's a new one to me. I have never heard of Psychoacoustics. Bluebeat.com I hope that guy has a lot of money for lawyer fees.

It all goes together. You should hear the sound of the early tracks - such as Cry For A Shadow.

Or, Like Lou Reed, changed the word to black.
