If you check out these BT sites, you will find all sorts of live shows by various bands (including The Grateful Dead and Bruce Springsteen): You can also listen to hundreds of Dead shows at Archive.org.

A thread from last summer - that contains links to other threads about the same topic. There are probably more threads about the best live shows in this section of the board. It is a topic that gets brought up every so often, but does not always get a lot of response.

There is a B&P section on Via Chicago located here. What you see at The Wilco Live Show Archives are files that you can direct download. Think of it as right clicking on a photograph online that you want to keep. All you have to do is click on a show, Autumn Defense - March 15, 2001, for example, Then you will see this: * adefense2001-03-15.txt - 433 b * adefense2001-03-15t01.flac - 13.43 mb * adefense2001-03-15t02.flac - 23.52 mb * adefense2001-03-15t03.flac - 22.56 mb * adefense2001-03-15t04.flac - 19.92 mb * adefense2001-03-15t05.flac - 19.57 mb * a

Of course the funny deal is - that you can not snag a SBD in one place, but you can in another place. I find that a bit odd. I was listening to the Dark Star > Jam from Dick's Picks #2 last night. I love that Jam. New stuff: Road Trips Volume 3 Number 1 - 12/28/1979 The Jerry Garcia Collection, Vol. 2: Jerry Garcia Band, Keystone Berkeley 1975

Restless and Wild and Balls to the Wall are better than that album.
-
“Louder Than God”: Rush’s Neil Peart Remembers Blue Cheer’s Dickie Peterson Good stuff: Vincebus Eruptum (1968) Outsideinside (1968) I also have a rather battered original pressing of this album: The Original Human Being (1970)

Don't worry about all that business - just check this section of the message board: Greatest Lost Track of All Time

I never really got into them. I have heard various Motorhead albums over the years, but I don't think I have ever actually ever owned a Motorhead album. To me, they are more of a hard rock band, than a metal band. At least, they were in the beginning.

Sometimes shows appear the very same night they take place. You just never know. I work on this stuff every day, and when I think I have a pattern figured out, it changes. People are going to do what they are going to do no matter what signs or rules you post. All you can do is answer "not yet" or just ignore it. At least, that is what I do.

I think that deal is obsolete in a way. I think the wait a week practice was something that was more relevant in the B&P days. As I have said before - sometimes shows appear soon, later, much later, or not at all. All people need to do is keep an eye on Greatest Lost Track of All Time section, or just search BT sites themselves. Although a show may pop-up at various places, all most all of them appear at bt.etree.org, Dime A Dozen, or The Trader's Den. If someone is new, then they are not going to know about these things. But - anyone can learn to search.

I saw this on Billboard.com this morning: U2's Youtube Channel

I saw the bootleg Earthquake Country up at some blog the other day. I think I actually recall seeing that in a cd store years ago.

For some odd reason, I was thinking of these songs today: Accept - Restless and Wild

There are hundreds of AUD/SBD sourced Dead shows up at bt.etree.org. You can listen to almost all of them at Archive.org. You can not download any SBD sourced Dead shows at Archive.org though. Of course, you can download AUD sourced Dead show from Archive.org. It is a direct download method, like The Wilco Archive. If a show was commercially released, then you can not download or listen to the SBD source at Archive.org. There will be a message when you click on a show stating that it was commercially released. There are also many other places out there to find Dead shows - such as audio

That's a good point. I think they should just stick to vault releases at this point. It sounds like Stephen is trying to copy Neil. Of course, Graham and David have already put out box sets in the past couple of years. I just read yesterday that Rod has yet another one coming out.

Most of the Wilco shows are posted there, or Dime A Dozen. Also, check this section of Via Chicago.

There are currently two sources. One of the sources is up at bt.etree.org.
