  1. That's cool. I think that era was the last time I really watched the show regularly.
  2. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say that about him. I'd say that Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Tim Meadows, and Chris Rock were great together. I began watching Saturday Night Live the year it came on - and I'd say most all of that stuff went over my head. I was only 9 years old. People always go on about the original cast, but, I think there have been groups of people since then who were just as good. Matt Foley Matt Foley Halloween episode
  3. For a change of pace, someone is suing them: Billboard.com
  4. Someone posted a PDF link to that one, and the one that came after it. It is in the previous Beatles thread. Please Please Me
  5. I wonder if Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher will make an appearance at one of the shows.
  6. Thanks for that link. There are set lists, videos, and photos there.
  7. We had a thread about it in the music section.
  8. I guess she does not have very many fans here. Gretchen Wilson
  9. It will be interesting to see if this happens to other obscure bands. What I mean by that is, when Metalica did their deal with an orchestra, other bands copied them and turned out albums that featured an orchestra. A different thing from a documentary made on the fly, but still, it was an unorthodox venture that led to notoriety.
  10. I see. I was not sure. There are some articles about Mott The Hoople in the stack of Circus magazines I have from 1974/75. Also, Mojo Magazine did a nice feature about the band a few years ago.
  11. Who was in the band then? Mick Ronson, or Ariel Bender? That was about the end. Queen opened for them on that tour.
  12. Ross Halfin has some photos and text up about the show. That's a shame that Buffin is ill and can't really play the shows. (Martin Chambers is doing the drumming).
  13. Although the new album is a stinker (at least I think so), this sounds like it will be worth watching: Billboard article
  14. I saw it on Vh1 - or most of it anyhow. I thought it was sad, yet moving at the same time.
  15. That is my take on it. But - there have been such shows shared before. Some of them seem to make their way to BT sites, some get put up, and then taken down. Some of the shows are up at The Wilco Archive, but that is because they have were given to us directly. I have noticed that a lot of the same people ask for such rips every time there is a roadcase or webstream show released. I am curious as to why they have not learned how to record the shows themselves. Personally, I am satisfied with AUD shows. We are lucky that Wilco allows taping and trading. I do, however, recognize that some
  16. I have not paid all that much attention to Farm Aid since CMT quit broadcasting the show. I have never heard of several of these bands:
  17. I was reading about this company somewhere else the other day: I guess the pressure is on, if they are pre-selling live cds.
  18. Did any of you old dudes go to the show?
  19. AMC.com is streaming full episodes of The Prisoner. The AMC remake of the show premiers in November 2009.
  20. Update on the archive: Grant gives Grateful Dead archive new life online
  21. The Bootleg Beatles I have read that they were once hired by David Gilmour to play at a party he was giving. George Harrison was there and saw them. An interview with Neil Harrison where he talks about the Gilmour gig.
  22. That's right - I forgot he was in the cast at one point.
