I have not seen a source so far.

That is one my earliest memories. I still have them (some of the 45s, and barely the memories).

I could not find that either. The person who picked the cd up for me at Target told me there was stacks of them at each check-out register. That Vs. number is simply amazing (950,378).

Just for the heck of it:

I was thinking there were no more cds for me to buy this year. I forgot about that coming out.

I may buy the May 15th 1970 show from Wolfgang's Vault. I recall listening to at Archive.org, and thinking it was pretty good.

I usually don't even bother with people doing cover songs on Youtube, but this kid has talent: T.Rex - The Soul Of My Suit (Here's a clip of Marc doing it.)

I have a feeling that Experience Hendrix Inc. will want a piece of the action.

I have read that it may be on the Stills boxset that is coming out this year (I think).

I noticed the Wilco comment also. I suppose some of us have seen him at shows, and did not even know it. Grateful Dead Live at AoxomoxoA Outtakes on 1969-12-31 (Archive.org link)

This was posted at Jambands.com this summer. They have redesigned their site, and I just noticed the interview yesterday. I can't recall if it was posted here or not. I did a search around the time period, and did not see it. Anyhow, it is a very informative interview. They even talk about the 1972-08-27 - Veneta, Oregon film again. I think I read somewhere that there may be some sort of anniversary re-issue of the first album, and a tour featuring the songs. I can't recall where I read that though. It may have been in some interview with Steve that I read online. If they do that, maybe they can do something about the sound, like Pearl Jam did with Ten.

We have a thread about it, if you want to post in it: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thread.
