I can't recall exactly. I suppose it just sounds funny hearing Bob Dylan sing Christmas songs.

I never knew he did that so much. Of course, I have never saw the band live.

It makes me think of the musical parody sketches that SCTV use to do.

If you do a search on the word headphone in this section of the board, you will find several threads about headphones. There are various views about what are the best to use.

Anyone heard this - it has been out for a little while now: The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again

Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones with CCAW Voice Coil I don't listen to music without headphones, as I don't want to disturb other people where I live. I have a tendency to listen to music very loud when I use a stereo. I also don't use the equalizer setting on Windows Media Player or WinAmp anymore. I think other people have said they see no difference in the sound. I think it is probably a curse to be so aware of how things sound. But, that is how it goes for some people. I should also tell you that my right ear does not work very well, so maybe that has something to do with the way I

I can tell a difference right away. To me, there is a clarity that was not there before. I have only listened to a few tracks, and probably won't hear them all until I buy the cds some day. My first thought was that they are a bit bright sounding. I should mention that I only listen to music with headphones on - not by way of any sort of stereo system.

That makes me think of: Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da

Here is the thread that lists both sources.

I believe John was still being driven around in the Rolls-Royce at the time.

Rolling Stones to reissue Get Your Ya Ya's Out
Analogman replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
It was only released in stereo. And like a lot of live albums, there are studio overdubs on several of the tracks. -
I have The Joshua Tree 2 disc deal. It is a pretty nice package. I would like to have the box that came out with the earlier albums, but have not bought it yet. I think it is still around 70 dollars at Amazon.

I was wondering about that myself.

I have not read all of this (yet)- but it looks like there are some answers here: Help (a pretty lengthy breakdown - track by track) A 1987 interview with George Martin by Allan Kozinn Fest for Beatles fans sheds light on remasters Wog Blog

The stereo mixes we are hearing now were done by George Martin in the 1980s.

I was able to go backstage at the show and meet him. He did not want to be bothered at the time. The people I was with sort of pushed the issue. Looking back, I can see that we were wrong to bother him.

Usually, people seem to write off the early stuff and begin to say everything was great starting with Rubber Soul. Of course, we had a different tracklist. And we got Yesterday and Today.

The White Album was the last Beatles album to be mixed both in mono and stereo. I believe by 1968 stereo was becoming the norm, not the exception.

Rolling Stones to reissue Get Your Ya Ya's Out
Analogman replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
He does not like the mix of the album. I figured that was going to happen when it did not come out with the other (non-ABKCO) re-masters a while back. -

Analogman replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Someone Else's Song
I was wondering if they were new or old. I don't think I recall hearing those songs.
