  1. Speaking of new releases, I just saw this posted on David Gans' Blog:
  2. I actually heard about this the other day. Leftsez was talking about receiving the discs and listening to them. I will have to check that out. I don't know if I need another Tom Petty live cd though.
  3. I think I have seen that on Youtube.
  4. They have played on the Letterman Show quite a few times over the years. I never stay up that late anymore, so I am glad there are places online to catch such things.
  5. You're Welcome It could probably be better written. If someone wants to mess with it, let me know and I will replace it. I copied the instructions and posted them in the BT links thread I made (see below).
  6. Addicted To Vinyl Here is what I just did: 1. Put the DVD disc in the computer CD tray. 2. Wait a little bit for the disc to load. 3. Right click on My Computer, hit open. 4. Right click on the DVD Title (ASHES_OF_AMERICAN_FLAGS), hit open. 5. Then right click on the word extras, hit open. 6. After that, right click on the word extras in that folder, hit open. This will take you to the website. From there you will see: Once you click on the above text at the Website, you will go to this page: Follow the registration instructions you see on that page, and then follow the inst
  7. You have to put the disc in, yes?
  8. I meant that he happened to be watching that video, and noticed the comment. He didn't write the comment. Usually, Youtube comments are not much better than some of the mud that is slung around here, so it is nice to see one that is funny.
  9. Maybe it was a limited time deal, or it is on some other site. I never messed with it, and I don't recall the particulars. Is one of those procedures where you have to have the disc in your player before anything happens?
  10. Some friend of mine sent this to me earlier today: That is funny as hell.
  11. I thought it was just this stuff:
  12. Billboard Article Well, someone is paying attention to all the complaints (sort of). Still no Rush or Deep Purple though.
  13. That is partly due to the fact that Chas Chandler was gone, and therefore, Jimi was in control. You have to understand that Chas Chandler's vision for Jimi mirrored what he had been through with The Animals. That is, to take raw unrestrained playing, and turn it into a three minute hit song. You can see the change from that sort of thinking start to development on Avis: Bold as Love. Oddly enough, that is how Jimi ended up with Mike Jeffries as he was The Animals manager, and managed Chas, if I recall correctly. Chas sold his interest in Jimi to Jeffries. And it also has to do with time, tec
  14. I heard Jeff is going to hand those out to the nice people here for Christmas. For those of use who are bad, he is going to give us the fake stereo versions from the old days.
  15. I never got into them either. I have read a lot about the band though. They have actually been together since 1973. There have been several of their shows up at bt.etree.org as of late.
  16. The Manson deal. It's something I was taught as a kid - hence, we were not allowed to listen to that song. It must be some sort of conditioning deal. Is that ride at some sort of Beatles theme park?
  17. At least he didn't break any bones this time. I hope he comes out with a good album eventually.
  18. I believe Paul said they were moved to do that after hearing about some Who song that was suppose to be nasty/heavy. I actually can't really deal with listening to Helter Skelter due to what I think of when I hear the song.
  19. At least he is making music again. As you may know, he said he was finished with music a while back. As an old school album/cd guy, it will take me some time to get use to a band just selling a track or two online. I guess he is sort of following Radiohead's lead. Plus - as I have said before, I am not paying money for Mp3 files. If there comes a day when that is all there is, then so be it.
  20. And selling Mp3s, vanity press books, and writing magazine columns.
  21. He must like that song, I noticed that he seems to play it every night.
