  1. I have not seen any other sources - as of a few minutes ago.
  2. Interesting. There is no mention of it at db.etree.org. It just seems odd to me that someone would send around a cd with the tracks out of order and with another artist stuck on the same cd. It could be that it came from the cassette era, when those sort of things were more common. You have a mystery there.
  3. The Wilco shows for 1999 at db.etree.org. I don't think it is listed there, and I have never heard of it. It could be some other show. And, it could be that someone gave you a mixture of various songs from various Wilco shows. I would look at the shows where James Alley Blues was played, and go from there. Although, if it is a mix of various shows, that is not going to help you that much. I think John hosted Sessions At W. 54th Street when they did the show - if that helps you any.
  4. I bet you found a ton of threads when you did a search. Try this thread from March 2008.
  5. I guess those dudes never heard the Peakin' At The Beacon cd.
  6. I have noticed that the email from Wilco HQ tends to go to my spam folder every so often. Maybe that happened to you -
  7. I recall reading about that a few months ago. I'd like to see them again someday. I read a while back that Dickey has announced he is no longer going to tour.
  8. I recall playing some sort of rock trivia board game years ago. I don't recall the questions, but there must have been some GD questions on the cards. You can sure tell that Mickey is back on drums during that one segment of the most recent Taper's Section.
  9. Thanks everyone for your help.
  10. That's it - except for live versions and the version on the bonus disc of I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. And the version they put on their website for download in 2004.
  11. From Billboard.com: Wilco Extend 2010 Tour Plans
  12. Taper's Section (January 4, 2010 - January 10, 2010)
  13. Yes, I actually prefer them over all of those bands (except Pearl Jam.) At least, I rather like the albums Dirt, Sap, and Jar of Flies. As I have said before though, I am somewhat put off by the sound of those records. Wasn't Cornell's last album some sort of techno Top 40 deal?
  14. I just walked through the snow, and picked up the rest of the Jesse Stone novels. The library does not seem to have all of them though. I hate it when that happens. Night Passage Trouble in Paradise Death In Paradise Stone Cold Sea Change High Profile Stranger In Paradise Night and Day
  15. Your post makes me think of the film Hype! (1996).
  16. Check out this site: Factory Belt
  17. I don't think it is something I would buy, but I have heard it. When I want to hear some sort of metal, much like everything else I listen to, I prefer the old stuff. Since this thread was made, I have been listening to some Soundgarden songs, and realized why I never really got into them. I don't really care for the band.
  18. I suppose it also has to do with a mix geared towards radio airplay. I think the Stone Temple Pilots ripped all of those bands off pretty good. Soundgarden - Into The Void Not bad - but Matt can't touch Bill Ward.
  19. The Landlord (1970) If nothing else, I love the look of the films made during this time period. They run a lot of movies from the 1970s.
  20. How about somewhat overproduced 90s big rock sound? I feel the same way about their last few albums as I do Nothing's Shocking, Ten, Dirt, etc. I like all of those records, but the sound seems oddly sterile to me. All bands seem to get back to together these days, whether it is for money, or, for the glory.
  21. They should do a tour with Alice in Chains and Mudhoney.
  22. Although I am not really familiar with their early records, I always thought Soundgarden was more metal than grunge. You can definitely tell that Kim Thayil is a Tony Iommi devotee. I also think Soundgarden's records (the ones I have heard) are too slick sounding. But - that was the sound at the time.
  23. My guess would be that only Nirvana and Pearl Jam will make it in there.
  24. If anyone has a notion to get these discs, this a good place to get them: Led Zeppelin: Cabala 1963-1988 (8 CD Set) I had these before in crappy Mp3 quality, so I think I am going to grab them. The files are FLAC files. I generally don't like fooling with Rapidshare links, but there is some good stuff on these discs.
