  1. I would think much like Wilco, all of those guys are hired hands. I figure The Black Crowes are really Chris and Rich Robinson.
  2. I think you got some bad information. I believe it goes something like this - Marc Ford in, Marc Ford out, Paul Stacey fills in temporarily, the bands picks Luther to fill the spot after Paul does what he was hired to do. At least, that is what I have always read. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
  3. Thanks for joining in on our thread. I wonder what the deal is on that session? I believe Chris just had a kid with his new wife, and will be taking time out for that. At least, that is what I saw somewhere online the other day. I like it when they play acoustic shows. We get to hear songs such as Wyoming and Me, Non-Fiction, and Thunderstorm 6:54.
  4. It's stuck in with the Show Info (sort of buried): Wilco Show Info and Policies
  5. Like the Tom Green Show. I think NBC should stream all of those shows online after the 11 news, and just run infomercials all night.
  6. I think Gov. Palin has her work cut out for her - even Glenn Beck is giving her hell: Beck Calls 'Bullcrap' On Palin's Non-Answer About Favorite Founding Father (VIDEO)
  7. There seems to be various versions of that show out there. It may interesting to see a fresh transfer. You can tell that is after his solo album success - as he was being singled out there.
  8. That is some good quality footage. I would like to see the whole show. Interesting stage set-up - they are surrounded by amps in a half circle, and Mac's is back is to the band.
  9. The Faces "Cindy incidentally" Dutch Television Pop Gala 1973
  10. I don't think it is inside information, but rather, speculation. We have always had that in our Lost threads here. If it is under the spoiler deal, then you don't have to read it. I generally don't follow speculation. I actually enjoy the show for the way they tell the story more than anything. We can only hope that the end does not end up being like the last episode of The Prisoner (Fall Out).
  11. We have a spoiler function these days. If you click on Other Styles in the top left corner, you will see it. I always put "may contain spoilers" in the thread title - as we did not have the spoiler function back when Lost began.
  12. That is amazing. I generally try to sleep during the flight, so I sort of hate it when they bug you to offer you peanuts or whatever.
  13. I have noticed this on a lot on the trips I take on Southwest now. They seem to overbook flights quite often. I never flew anywhere until in I was in the military (1984-1986), and then not again until a couple of years ago. Things have definitely changed.
  14. I know someone who will only watch the show that way - all the episodes of the season in a row by way of DVD. I don't think I have ever watched an episode twice. That may be something I will do in the future after the show is over.
  15. No - but I know some dudes who use to rob banks. I wonder how much the Fox Network is paying her? I bet they are going to get big numbers off of whatever she does there. The people who want her to run in the next election are nuts.
  16. I bet she is laughing all the way to the bank: Sarah Palin takes Fox News commentator job
  17. I think the deal was those were Jimi only tracks, and they wanted to make them into something more than demos, or the bass and drum tracks were lost. I can't recall exactly. I don't own Noel's or Mitch's book, so I can't look it up. I am not a fan of such things. I recall Zappa getting all sorts of backlash when he did that. I think Crying Blue Rain (also called In from the Storm at one point, and also Gypsy Blood) was a Noel Redding song (or the title was). Mr. Bad Luck (Look Over Yonder) was originally to be on Axis: Bold as Love. Look Over Yonder is on South Saturn Delta.
  18. They should bring back the . The good old days.
  19. List of late-night American network TV programs I think NBC needs to come up with some more hit cop or medical shows. It could be that they are trying to do that. That is a lot of people to cram into a somewhat short space of time (Leno, Conan, Fallon, and Carson Daly). I still think Jay should do a car show on the Speed Channel.
  20. I read about it on another message board. Apparently, Noel and Mitch did work on some of the tracks in 1987. At least I think that is what the deal is. Now that I think about it, I believe there is some mention of the overdubbing work in Noel's book. 22. Will State of the Union Speech Push Back Lost Premiere?
  23. That has not happened since Midnight Lightning. Most of the stuff they are going to put out now is not all that great, unless you are a Hendrix super fan and must have it all (the unreleased stuff). It sounds like they have got their hands on some more material they did have. That is how some of those songs came to be on the box set. They were able to buy the tapes that Chandler had after he died. I didn't think there was anything coming out that I would want this year besides the supposed Jayhawks re-masters, so this is good news. You can find various versions of VON on Youtube: Valleys
