There is not even an etree listing for it at Wilcobase. I checked - db.etree.org->Wilco->1997 I would guess that it was not taped. We have no listing for this show at The Wilco Archive, either. Whenever we ran across a show that does not have a setlist, and we can provide one with a recently acquired show, I always make sure to let Rob know about it.

Doh! I was watching some videos on Youtube today of Brian and Jeff. That dude should write the Uncle Tupelo story.

I can see your point. I am not that crazy about a lot of effect pedals to begin with. It can be overdone, I mean to say. Personally, I am partial to the sound of the original wah-wah and fuzzface, and some of things that Jimi used. I suppose I name those dudes as that is really the music I prefer, and have mostly listened to since I was a kid. Speaking of guitar players and effect pedals - the fist member of Wilco I ever talked to was Nels. I asked him a question about one of his pedals.

I always wanted a ship in a bottle. An old one though, not some kit deal. Hugo cracks me up.

I'm not much of a Pink Floyd fan, but it seems to me the dude has talent. I think that is an interesting comment though - if it is just the gear, then get up there and do it. I suppose for me, it is always the British Blues players: Beck, Green, Page, etc. Although, there are of course some American dudes as well - Hendrix, Santana, SRV, Allman, etc.

I am wondering about that myself.

I guess it depends what you are into. I have Sonic Temple on cassette. I don't think I ever bought any of their other albums. As I recall, they were sometimes called a metal band, influenced by bands like The Doors. Which is sort of funny, as Ian eventually joined The Doors. I suppose I usually prefer Metal that is powerful and crushing, which is the sort of Metallica I prefer - Seek & Destroy and not the Enter Sandman stuff.

I know someone who saw them on that tour. He was the dude who did the metal show at the college radio station here where I live. He said there was some "hippie looking guy" walking around talking to people before the show. When the show started, he noticed the "hippie looking guy" was playing bass in the opening band. Some of the footage in Cliff 'Em All is from that tour. The whole thing is on Youtube. Hella Cool!

I think it is because a lot of bands sell their SBD sourced shows these days, and the belief that SBD sourced shows are more likely to end being sold as bootlegs.

I don't recall seeing any, but then again, the only thing I really look for these days are Wilco and related shows. I think I have seen at least one Steely Dan FM sourced concert on a bootleg blog somewhere.

I am somewhat surprised, but not really. A lot of older bands don't seem to understand live show trading, probably due to the buying and selling of bootlegs back in the day. Although, not all BT sites follow Dime a Dozen's lead, so you may find Steely Dan shows elsewhere.

I heard there was a woman at the show beating people up. Did you get that on film?

I think a lot of it had to do with them hiring Bob Rock to work on the album.

They are - Don't You Honey Me is on the second disc, and Childlike & Evergreen is on the first disc.

I was thinking of the Yes band. They should do a tour together.

I can only imagine the amount of time those guys practiced to get that together. Amazing.
