  4. I've always wished there was more text in the Dick's Picks booklets, but I guess if the idea was to keep the releases simple, in order to keep the costs down.

  6. I suppose it depends on what we like, what sort of deal moves us. I like ragged but right, I like live in the studio, but I also love Pet Sounds. I think all Wilco albums are great, but really I prefer the sound and style of the first two above all others.

  10. I don't know if all this discussion makes sense exactly. I would think that they had whatever was the top of the line for the time period in question. It could be what we are really talking about is A&M radio, and how bands would tailor singles to sound good coming out of a transistor radio, or car speaker. I have read that he would listen to things that way to see if it worked, but there was a lot of other bands that did that also. I have read that these days, albums are mixed or whatever, with the idea of iTunes and the whole Mp3 culture in mind. At least - for some groups, not all

  13. I think the sound of his albums was sort of crappy after the first two. I have the re-mastered cds, and they still sound funny to me.
  14. I was making a general comment.

  16. That's a good deal that he is learning how to play at such an early age.
  17. I meant to post that as a response to your post. As I have said before, most of the people I know do not buy music in any form what so ever. They just listen to the radio in their car and/or at home. So, to them, having stacks and stacks of such things seems absurd, and the first thing some of them think about is the money involved. Of course, to people who don't collect things, or do not have a passion for something, anything along those lines seems absurd.
  18. That is another show I don't understand the appeal of. I read some books about Ellis Island a while back - not a fun place to be.
  19. It use to be cool. I have a lot of music stuff that a taped off of that channel. I'd say the parking ticket show is the worst.
