Yes, check out the link a few posts back. There is a list of all the books seen or mentioned in the show.

The one I have is a black box with four connections on it. It is like the one I had in the 1980s - it came from Radio Shack. I don't know if they still make them or not. My stereo is a made up of a 1970s JC Penny receiver, a multi slot cd player from the 1990s, an equalizer from the late 1980s, a turntable from a radio station, and a set of speakers off of my old Sony stereo system.

It sort of LOST me.

I saw that. It's been up for a while.

He gave it to him the first time he joined the band. It was an old one, I think.

I wonder if he still has that Gold Top that Rich gave him.

I think for a lot of people that may be true. I don't know if I have noticed it mentioned so much lately, but usually it's that album, or Summerteeth people seem to refer to, or mention quite a bit. I still believe that Wilco has never made the same album twice, and I doubt they will in the future. There are certain sounds, lyrical themes, and/or movements that may be exist throughout their catalog, but still, all of their albums are different. I still prefer the first two releases and AGIB to the rest of their catalog.

What I meant was - they both badmouth the current way music is delivered, preferring instead, the way things were in the old timey days of the 70s/80s.

Maybe we will pass you on the road at some point. We went there last summer. We mainly just walked around at looked at stuff.

I saw a re-issue of Big Pink on vinyl when I was at Best Buy the other day. It looked too sterile and clean. I guess since I have not bought anything but used records over the last 20 years or so, I have to see some wear and tear for me to be interested.

I recall reading about those records when they were released, but have never heard them. -

I still prefer Blue Earth, Hollywood Town Hall, and Tomorrow The Green Grass above all the rest. Much like Ryan Adams, their earlier work has more raunch, which they seem to have put aside as time went by. -

I didn't care for the album, so I did not buy it. I don't agree with all of your comments though. They certainly did change. And although I don't really care for Sound Of Lies, I would rather hear that album than Smile. I am just glad I got to see them back in the day. -
Happy Birthday

We all have our preferences and likes/dislikes, yes? -
There has been some discussion that they are the people in the cave. Speaking of annoying, I recall that there was also some talk that the people in the cave were Paulo and Nikki.

I noticed that in the most recent thread, there is talk of Sound Of Lies. It's interesting how all most all Jayhawks threads contain a discussion on the merits or failures of that album. I was thinking about this the other day, when I heard read something where yet another band from those days voiced their displeasure at being called alt-country. It's amazing to me how almost all of the bands from that time have distanced themselves from that genre. For me, I quit being interested in the music when they turned away from twang. -
The only comedies I watch are Earl and The Office.

I like to watch Jay Leno talk about cars. The Speed Vision Channel should give him a show. Jay Leno's Garage

Maybe they did it to make space for the Mindy Kaling show. Pretty soon, NBC will just be Office spin-offs, and Office copy-cat shows.

I thought this season was pretty good. I thought Inside Probe, Part 1 and 2 was great. Stole an RV and Sweet Johnny were also two great back to back episodes.
