  1. I think all the bands allowed at say Dime A Dozen for example, have some sort of clause with regards to what is allowed and what is not. Here is what the statement is regarding Wilco shows:
  2. It may be wishful thinking, but the more I think about it, I swear there was a thread that contained discussion with regards to it being ok for the shows to be put out there.
  3. The statement regarding what's allowed with regards to Jeff/Wilco shows at places such as Dime a Dozen, bt.etree, etc. will have to be amended. It will have to be something official, I believe - not something written by a fan or message board moderator.
  4. Thank you for posting. I suppose there must be a post about how and why they came to be distributed. I have a feeling that like most things, they ended up online at some point, and then they spread from there. Following that, I suppose whoever posted all the shows since the first one that made it online have assumed it was alright to do so. What do we need to do to straighten this out?
  5. I don't recall when they started to appear on various BT sites, but is must have been after the approval was given for the shows to be shared. We have the following at The Wilco Archive: January 14, 2006 (Letters to Santa Show) April 8, 2006 (Letters to Santa Show) February 24, 2007 (Letters to Santa Show) March 3, 2007 (Letters to Santa Show) January 12, 2008 (Letters to Santa Show) April 5, 2008 (Letters to Santa Show) The most recent LRS to appear is 2009-02-07. It was posted at bt.etree.org on 5-22-2009.
  6. 1. I don't think it is a good idea to spread around edited versions of any shows, let alone the living room shows. It will get confusing to those who end up with them. And, it muddies the trading pool. 2. I believe part of what people like about these shows is the banter. 3. It is my experience that most tapers ask that the shows they tape not be spread around in a lossy format. 4. It is my understanding that the powers that be signed off on the shows being shared with the public a couple of years ago. 5. Once something is online in one place, it is going to end up everywhere. 6. What anyone d
  7. I have the first few issues up through the early 90s - when Bob Guccione Jr. was running the show. I think I stopped reading Spin the year before Wilco started.
  8. There are many imitations and reproductions out there now, so be careful. Of course, an original is going to cost you a small fortune. You should check out Wolfgang's Vault, and/or the official Led Zeppelin website.
  9. Is it this one: Levon Helm (Amazon.com link)
  10. We've had a few Blue Mountain threads over the last couple of years; there may be an answer in one of them: The "real" reason Blue Mountain broke up Homegrown/Blue Mountain Blue Mountain Reunion Shows
  11. Video by way of Billboard.com (I guess this was approved by the band?) Wilco Rocks Bonnaroo ’09 Into The Night
  12. I was listening to some Hendrix tracks that Lee Michaels played on earlier today.
  13. I have a feeling Sharon is really the one behind the lawsuit. I read somewhere that Tony has owned the name for a long time, so it seems odd that Ozzy is doing this now. His solo career seems to be in the toilet, so that may also have something to do with it. I doubt the Osbourne family is hurting for money. From Eddie Trunk's site: .
  14. Amazon has the following listed: Amazon US link (Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only) Amazon UK link (Region: All Regions) Of course, Thrasher's Wheat is really the place to get all the answers.
  15. I think that refers to a stream of the new album. You can probably find an Mp3 rip of the album on an Mp3 Blog, if you do a search.
  16. Check out the film A Day In The Life Of The Edge.
  17. U2 Rehearsal Clips (link to the official U2 site)
  18. I forgot I read about this when the message board was down. I figure this will kill any original Black Sabbath line-up shows or albums happening any time soon:
  19. He said he had to do it in order for the tracks to work on the game. I guess his Dad was a bit taken back when he first heard the tracks after they had been changed. My understanding is that it was done for the game only, not the cd re-issues.
  20. There is an article in the new issue of Rolling Stone about the game. In the article, Giles Martin talks somewhat about what he had to do with the tracks. Apparently, they have to be separated in order for them to be playable in the game. So he had to split all the tracks up, thus changing the way they have been heard all of these years. I may buy the cds, but I am in no way interested in a Beatles video game.
