I never cared much for the other albums, besides those three. I wish they would re-master them, or do something about the sound in general - sort of like what was done with Ten recently.

I see. I was thinking he meant any sort of online file sharing - live or not.
-
He played with Grateful Dead quite a bit - as I discovered when reading through those taper's books. I have said this before, but I got to see his guitar and amp at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I guess he got busted several times for such things back then - which is why he sold off the rights to his songs, to pay for lawyers. I like the song What About Me - although the sound is a bit odd, the groove is nice. Sons of Mercury is the only album I have by them (an anthology).

Finding that made me break out Sap/Dirt/Jar of Flies.

I know some people don't care for his vocals. I like some of the songs he did with them. That song Fresh Air, is alright. That guy wrote a lot of well know songs - and sold them off, if I recall correctly.

They must be aware of it somewhat; otherwise, they would be on Dime a Dozen's banned list. I say I am surprised as their manager made a statement once about locking file sharers up forever, or something like that.

I am surprised they allow taping. U2 30.06.2009 Nou Camp,BCN (Dime a Dozen link)

I suppose this has been mentioned somewhere around her before, but Rhino is re-releasing a lot of albums on vinyl these days.

The Monterey International Pop Festival

I got the Woodstock DVD in the mail the other day. For 30 bucks, it's a pretty fancy package. There is a whole bunch of stuff in the box - a paper weight, facsimiles of memorabilia, booklets, etc. I think I am going to wait until the actual date(s) of the festival to watch it. -
I forgot to mention that I received the DVD of Fillmore: The Last Days the other day. The quality is pretty good - no out takes that I can see, unless there are Easter Eggs. I think it is a pretty bare bones release. There is an essay by Ben Fong-Torres in the foldout booklet, that is about it. It would have been nice to see more Dead, Quicksilver, etc. I think Bill was managing Cold Blood, so that is why there is so much footage of them in the film. At least, I think I read that somewhere.

The official board was shut down some time ago. There are two others that I know of, one of which, I am not going to comment on. The other one is nice.

As long as they send FLAC files, that they made using EAC with the proper settings, of course.

That's a great idea.

I had a pretty cool 8-Track tape player - about 25 years ago. It looked like a small suitcase. Maybe they are taking a page from the Ten re-release. I think one of the editions of it had a cassette tape among the items in the package. Although I still have several hundred cassette tapes, I don't have a working cassette player anymore.
-
That's a good point. I noticed there was not a special edition this time around. I suppose that is due to the concert DVD that came out recently.
-
I see. I suppose people will just have to find it out there, or wait for it to show up in some other official capitally. I have mot received my CD yet - as UPS is playing games, so I have not really heard the album.
-
I think it is just at iTunes when you buy the new album there - is that right? I don't use iTunes, so I don't really know much about it. I would think they will put it out in some other form at some point.

I think Mr. Grant claimed that he had destroyed them all. There is a video clip out there somewhere of Jimmy in one of those Japanese bootleg stores. I wonder if he paid for them? From what I have read on another message board I am on, they are quite expensive. That is one of the good things about file sharing, one does not have to buy such things anymore. Although, there are those that collect silver bootlegs. I have read a lot of discussion lately that seems to suggest that some bootleg people are now snagging shows by way of file sharing (particularly when someone does a "re-master") and
