  1. They should put all of that stuff out, officially. If they ever do, hopefully they won't mess with the tracks like they did for the official release in 1975. It would be expensive, but the Dylan freaks would buy it.
  2. I managed to pick up American Central Dust last night. I had not really heard it until now - Roll On seems alright.
  3. Speaking of that site, I have always been amazed by the work these people do: The Unofficial Bob Dylan Free Library
  4. That is right up the road from me. The newspaper has been full of articles this week complaining about the festival, and making fun of the people there. I bet all the convenience store owners and others making money from all of those people are not complaining too much.
  5. This is from an email they sent out yesterday:
  6. Right. I believe part of that is due to his old school country/bluegrass/Clarence White background.
  7. I'd check the forums at Expecting Rain and see what they say.
  8. I don't recall ever cleaning a phonograph needle - except for wiping it with my fingertips, or waving the air around it - in order to remove the build-up once in a while. Of course, all of my records are mostly old and tore up to hell - so I am not one to say, I guess. The sound you hear is part of the magic, I do believe.
  9. From what I can tell, he does not travel to far from his roots. I don't think he is interested in becoming well known (that is, at the top of the charts, People magazine, etc.) He still tours in a van, does he not? I think he did do a lot of press the last time around, or I recall reading a lot of interviews with him, anyhow. I've never seen Son Volt, but I did see a solo Jay show once. I met him backstage (but that's another story). I think he is more likely to play some UT songs than Wilco is, due to the fact that he already had it together back then, and his style has not changed that
  10. I remember when they were called Tour Books.
  11. Billboard article about the live re-masters:
  12. From Billboard.com: From Jambands.com:
  13. Source: Yahoo I'd say most of the people buying all of those cds are in their late 30s - early 50s.
  14. I heard a commercial for one of those deals on the radio the other day. At the end of the commercial, it was announced they would crown a "Mr. and Mrs. Teabag" at the end of the Tea Party.
  15. Wilcobase listing for the song. No source has appeared yet for the Red Rocks show.
  16. I nocticed that also. I did see a page at at Amazon.com for the boxsets, only pages for the individual cds.
  17. Sometimes, you have to laugh. UPS sent the cd I ordered back to Amazon - they claimed they were unable to deliver it to me. I guess I will go to Walmart and buy it.
  18. He not only had a hand in the The Beatles empire, but many other things as well.
  19. I first read about it in that crappy books that Bob Spitz wrote, which was mainly put together by way of the Albert Goldman's research. As you know, Philip Norman wrote The Beatles book Shout back in the 1980s. I think those guys just copy each others research these days.
  20. I think the only piece of Beatle news that I have read in recent years that I did not know about was Neil Aspinall's relationship with Pete's mother, and the fact that they had a child together.
  21. That is not new information. I read about that years ago. Also - the other story is that it happened to him in a street fight.
