If you look around at other message boards, threads that have to do with band members personal lives are generally ridiculed, met with hostility, or something else. I recently saw some threads on another board that had to do with someone finding out where a band member lived - and how they were going "try and meet him". I suppose there is apoint where fan really becomes fanatic.

Gold cds are supposed to be better for sound. I don't think I have ever heard one.

Ever notice that the photo on the record sleeve is different than what is on the cd sleeve? I just remembered that I have a poster from that period - it has a photo of Bono/In God's Country written on it. I don't think I ever saw that documentary - I did not have TV at the time.

Speaking of English teachers - when Analogman was in the 10th grade, his class watched that Romeo and Juliet movie made in the 60s. Before it started - someone asked the teacher if there was going to be nudity in the film - she replied that you could not love someone in bed with your clothes on.

You dudes should learn how to do Bit Torrent - then you can steal music all by yourself.

That's my favorite U2 album.

I think the hardcore fans want more jamming - less Hard To Handle, etc. That does not look to bad - but then, we were not there to hear what it sounded like.

Pretty cool film - although - the dvd looks like it was mastered off a film that had been lying in the bottom of a irish pub or something. The image quality was very bad - since I know his brother is in charge of the estate - I am guessing they did not have access to the film negs or simply did not have the money to do a proper restoration.

Next time you are in town, come over and watch Irish Tour '74 - I got the dvd.

if you feel like reading through this thread Also - dig around and see the difference between lossy and lossless.

It's one of those reservable deals with japanese writing on it. I think they had everything marked as "new wave clothing" at the time.

I like both of those songs.

I meant - sometimes people go for what you are putting down - and sometimes they do not.

Also - from what I have been reading - they are mostly playing the so-called greatest hits setlist these days. And there seems to be a lof of negative comments about the shows in general.

Sorry - I should not even post in this thread today.
