Me too - actually, it's about the only version of the band I care to listen to. I think it is because several of the songs on this disc are new - and it's just weird to hear a 5 minute Playing In The Band. I will say that there is some interesting slide going on during the Pigpen blues numbers.

I just ment they were crappy until he got it together with the lyrics. I think without David Gilmour, they would have sunk. I say this as not really much of a fan of the band, and I have never worshipped Syd Barret.

I know what you mean - I went through that with The Lost Crowes release a while back. There is not much in the way of liner notes, but the tracks do seem to sound better for the most part.

You can get all the demos for free - they are up on several BT sites. When I was given the YHF Engineer Demos several years ago I was asked not to pass them around - so I never did. But - someone did evetually.You can get all the demos for free - they are up on several BT sites.
