Double posting of the same thread is bad form - on most boards, the threads are locked right away. Learn to use the search button - it's a good thing to do.

We've had this talk before - and it comes down to the label deal. When I think of alt.county, I too, think of the late 80s-mid 90s bands that I discovered. As I have said before - I did not really mess with any new music until I discovered this stuff.

That is true - I paid three bucks for the hard cover edition I have - I think it was going for several hundred dollars at one point. The other one is probably better - as it covers all the shows, concerts, movies, - everything. But - as I mentioned, the old one does have photos that are not in the new version. A lot of them are Linda McCartney photos.

I agree with your view that some of their songs are shitty. But - to me, they seem to be pretty real. And I listen to very few bands from this time period. I won't even bother with the other comment you made.
