  1. I am reminded of The Lost Crowes release last year - in that all of this stuff is pretty much put there to grab already. I suppose it will sound better and be in a nice package. I recall that Demolition was suppose to be a lot more than the one cd it ended up being - so we will see.
  2. The Act You've Known for All These Years: A Year in the Life of Sgt. Pepper and Friends
  3. Why is this thread even here? - James Stockdale
  4. I think that book is awful - mainly, it is built on Goldman's research. There are several errors in it also. I would go with the Lewisohn books.
  5. It does not surprise me that people would like them here. He has a connection with Elvis Costello - do you know what the connection is?
  6. Off Broadway + Halloween Head videos
  7. So - I think we have a new conspiracy here. That dude uses a line written by Woody Allen, who once made a film that had a Volkswagen
  8. I think I recall seeing the one with Volkswagen
  9. No - I don't really know his movies.
  10. I wonder if he got that from Jeff Foxworthy.

  12. Maybe that is the new way - instead of videos, or singles, bands are going to do commercials. I still find it disturbing.
  13. I wonder why that is. ha ha
  14. It's all the same to me - and I still think threads that have some meaningful discussion where many people participate is better than a bunch of random threads were only a few select people participate.
  15. I am not quite that nutty these days - but I still get rather involved with music.
  16. Exile on Main St.: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones by Robert Greenfield shit book - do not bother The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury another Da Vinci Code knockoff What I would like to read: Roadwork: Rock and Roll Turned Inside Out by Tom Wright
  17. I think people here are more likely to be less critical of Wilco and give them a pass on almost anything they do. I have a tendency to be too negative at times - I will freelly admit that. Maybe that is what separates the person who has thousands of cds/records/tapes from the person who merely listens to the radio once in a while - an overwhelming feeling of desire to speak freely on the music they are crazy about. I mean - I have done nutty things to get music before - such as skipped paying bills. I have also chosen music over friendships - I am not saying these things are right - ju

  19. Well, it does bother some people to see a band they adore allowing their music to be used to sell cars or whatever. It just rubs some people the wrong way - I figure if you did a google© search - you would find many rants against or making fun of bands that do this sort of thing. It's not unexpected. I am more surprised that so many people are not bothered by it actually. I agree that some of the stuff in that thread got off track and went somewhere I don't agree with - but at least it showed passion.
  20. I think that song is great.
  21. We're all going through this. It's our time at the edge.
