Under A Blood Red Sky was the first one I ever got - back in the day. It's a trip to watch that concert and then watch Rattle and Hum. I like Seconds and also, Drowning Man. Two Hearts Beat As One - probably the first U2 song I ever heard.

Mine too - I wish they had just put out Pride as a single and left it off the album though. It messes up the flow.

Well, even Larry says Pop was rushed and unfinished or some such thing. I see what your saying though. Maybe it's just one of those deals - like REM - when a band moves away from the sound/lyrics you love, some people get upset. I am one of those people most likely.

I think I am the other way around on that statement also - I thin Bono spends all his time on political matters these days - and very little time on lyrics. We've had this talk before - I think my early Tom Petty and U2 cds have advertisements for other cds inside them/generic album cover art on the back and spine. That shows how old they are. I have Boy---->The Joshua Tree on vinyl.

Those songs are out there to snag. Personally, I am not that big of a Syd fan and not really into PF all that much to begin with. If I listen to them - it has to be Meddle/DSOTM/Live At Pompeii type stuff.

I hope those who got in have a good show - I had been waiting to see him since 1997 - and I was not disappointed. Although - I wish his hand had not been fouled up.

Well - that was the last Whiskeytown album - and if I recall correctly, that was not the first mix, but rather the one that came out. I use to hate that album - but it's alright. I guess I have always viewed Almost Blue as Elvis Costello's cover album of country songs. Almost Blue, the song, is one of my very favorite EC songs though. another alt.country precursor- cowpunk
