  1. He was on bass when they did the tour with Mick Hucknall. I don't know about Mac, but Kenney has a stake in The Who. He gets money from whatever they do.
  2. Me too. Although I have a cassette of it. It be nice if they would go ahead and make it available outside of the boxset (The Bob Dylan Complete Album Collection Vol. One).
  3. Amazon has Dylan cds for $5.99 or less: Dylan cds (even The Bootleg Series, Vol. 4: Bob Dylan Live, 1966: The "Royal Albert Hall Concert")
  4. We'll see. He seems to come out with this news every so often - and then something comes up.
  5. It appears Rod is saying it is going to happen (again) (from Billboard):
  6. Outtasite (Outta Mind) T.V. Show: Psych Shawn (And Gus) of The Dead (2008)
  7. My great find of the day back then was Hendrix In The West (only on vinyl at the time). I found it in the chain record store where I use to buy records in the mall. This probably would have been around the same time (1982).
  8. I never owned it back in the day. A good friend of mine had it. The copy I have came from a radio station that was tossing all their albums in the early 1990s. Of course, now it's on the Winterland boxset.
  9. It is totally awesome. I recall hearing that album when it came out (The Jimi Hendrix Concerts' 1982).
  10. It was in the mail when I got home. It's funny to hear them giving Bear hell.
  11. I've seen some silent film (from the Electric Ladyland sessions). There is probably a list out there somewhere of all the stuff that may be still unreleased. One collection that comes to mind is the Black Gold sessions. There are of course endless reels of him jamming in the studio (or so I have read). I have boot of some of that stuff. Two great live tracks: I Don't Live Today (The Sports Arena, San Diego, CA, May 24, 1969) Are You Experienced? (Winterland, San Francisco, CA, October 10, 1968)
  12. Supposedly, the family (estate) is only going to put out what live stuff and/or concert films they now own.
  13. It's not all that great. I agree. But - just like the crap studio stuff, they are going to put out all that they can - good or bad.
  14. I was looking at the dead.net help page yesterday. I think it stated on there one should wait 7-10 days before calling. I think today makes 8 days. Plus there was the holiday weekend. I think I will wait till at least tomorrow and then call if I don't get it.
  15. That's something I did not know. I use to use that soap a long time ago.
  16. The drum tracks were not recorded on the live multi-tracks. I think they had a lot of problems with the recording of those shows. The foam you see around the microphones (cut out of equipment/guitar cases) was put there in order to try and deal with the wind sound. Chuck Wein (the director) started out working for Andy Warhol and supposedly discovered Edie Sedgwick. Since the estate is now concentrating on live shows/films it would be cool if they were able to release a cleaned up version with bonus stuff.
  17. I won't mess with those type of sites anymore either - Mediafire, etc. For now, I am sticking to BT and FTP. I don't know anything about Drop boxes. I have not messed with those yet. You can direct download files (MP3/FLAC) from Archive.org.
  18. I had not uploaded a show in so long - that I forgot how to to do it a while back. There use to be a great site out there with screenshots/text of each step. I don't know if it is still around or not. Speaking of BT, I read the other day that Winamp is closing down in a couple of weeks. That is what I have always used to listen to FLAC/SHN files.
  19. I had someone teach me BT here - about ten years ago (I think). Besides that show I snagged yesterday - I don't really grab GD shows anymore. If I want to hear something I don't have - I just stream it at Archive.org. I don't think I would be willing to do B&P or anything like that anymore. About the only shows I grab are Wilco and Wilco related. I don't really listen to those shows much. I just grab them for the Wilco archive. And it bums me out that people seem to want to post all those at Dime a Dozen. But I guess that is the way it goes. Speaking of GD shows. I still have not receive
  20. This version is suppose to sound pretty good. We'll see.
  21. I am grabbing this one - it showed up on bt.etree.org today:
  22. Since I was listening to all the albums the other day - I got hung up on Magpie to the Morning. I have to admit I have not listened to the last two albums very much. I think I sort of got burnt out on listening to her some years ago. I am not sure what to make of the new album yet.
  23. This is sort of funny. I was listening to Middle Cyclone (for the first time since it came out probably) and forgot about the end track. It got to the end of the last song. I thought - ok. I'll watch some videos now. I began watching an ELP concert on Youtube. I was wondering why they were playing a cricket tape throughout the show. I stopped the video and the cricket sound was still going. I looked around and noticed the cd player was still on. And then I remembered the cricket loop at the the end of the cd. I have not listened to her albums for a long time. I had forgotten how moving s
  24. I noticed the first time I saw that - he gives the drummer hell.
