That could be.

I wonder what the deal is with their management? It seems odd to me - two band members releasing statements about leaving, and Greg talking about the bass player leaving, and then down the road stating they are done.
-
I can't get the article to open - but I just saw a post on FB from Relix stating that Greg says they are done after this year.

I have to say I am not generally not a fan when artists or bands put out cover song albums. It really seems odd to me that Neil Young would do such a thing considering how many unreleased albums and/or songs he has in the vault. Found on Relix.com:

It was due to the way they stood together and shared a microphone - as the Everly Brothers use to do.

I was listening to all my Kinks cds over Christmas break this year. I'll have to go back and check that out. I've always liked the parts where you can hear Dave screaming in the background (in the song Victoria). I came here to post about then Then Play One re-master. It sounds way way better than the original cd. What a great album. Although I have to say it was a bit jarring when it abruptly goes from Underway to One Sunny Day. I'm not sure I care for that. But - I guess that is the way they intended it to be on the original release. -
Tonight's episode of Revolution is titled Captain Trips. That was also what the flu was called in The Stand. I've always had the notion that Jerry probably hated that name.

I think it would be great if she would do their new album.

I recall him talking about this a several years ago (by way of Rolling Stone): -
Speaking of the anthology cds - I have two moments, er rather songs from those: Cry For Shadow - I suppose some work was done on the track, but the sound of that song is great. Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby - The sound of George's guitar is pretty darn good.

I think the first one of those I got for Christmas that year. It is the only one of the three that I have where the cd case is in a box. I recall you could buy those anywhere back then. Even super markets where selling them. It seems pretty odd now - a super market selling cds.

I still (sort of) recall taping that when it was on TV. I still have the VHS tapes. And the TV Guide for that week. It was a very big deal at the time (November 1995).

It's too bad the kids of today don't get the spinning wheel.

That must be this:

I never heard them - but I recall reading and/or Jimmy stating there were songs cut or maybe he was jut rather unhappy with the sound. I figure the price will keep me from buying them. If I do get one - it will be LZ III - which is my favorite LZ album.
-
I never bought anything but the complete studio recordings. Well - that and the BBC disc. I just hope these new versions sound better. I suppose it may depend on if they are going off the master tapes, or some old digital file. And I have to wonder what sort of shape some of those master tapes are in after all this time. My benchmark is usually the GD Warner Brothers box or The Byrds re-masters. To me - those are some of the best sounding cds I own.

I suppose we'll have to look that up - I don't see how they put them all out in a box in 1993, and then again in 1994. Here is what I found:
-
If you dig around you can find some articles about the planned new boxsets. We'll have to wait and see (hear) how they sound. Technology has come along from 1990 with regards to sound. I bought The Complete Studio Recordings box a little over 16 years ago. And I have never cared much for the sound. I never owned the original cds - so I don't know how they sound. Before that, I had cassettes from the 1980s, and almost all original vinyl pressings. That is what I grew up with. I still have all of them. I think the studio box from (The Complete Studio Recordings) (1993) is the only time t

I've read a lot of complaints about the first two episodes of the new series. I managed to find them online and found them pretty funny. We'll get them here officially sometime this month on PBS.

That is true. It will be nice to have some good sounding LZ cds though. Or we hope, anyhow.
