  1. She Found Now EDIT: That is a link to a playlist of all the videos of each track from m b v from the official My Bloody Valentine Youtube channel. Too lazy to figure out how to embed a player that's part of a playlist. EDIT: Only one embed per post? :/
  2. I won't lie: the cover made me chuckle.
  3. Yo La Tengo has a new video for Fade's I'll Be Around. The video contains Mac MacCaughan [superchunk-member / Merge-headmaster], lots of text, lyrics (not necessarily from this song), two recipes, and more silent "what the deuce?" moments! Also, Ira does an interview with, um,... Bon Appétit of all places. If you're wondering why, you should investigate!
  4. Foxygen - We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace And Magic I don't care about the comparisons to all of the 60s. This still sounds great even if they mined nothing revolutionary nor innovative (see Tame Impala).
  5. I'm pretty sad that they cut Ohm by more than half, but I suppose the networks demanded it. But we get Fred and Kid Millions. On the other hand, I'm quite shocked the crowd remained silent during I'll Be Around.
  6. I really liked Woods' Bend Beyond. It just couldn't compete against Beach House, Frank Ocean, Grizzly Bear, Fiona Apple, Tame Impala,.. It's not bad, and I really like it. Woods is that awesome band that gets buried under by a bunch of heavyweights at year end, sadly. They always make beautiful albums, but it's tough to compete against those heavyweights. I think I squeezed them into at least my top 25, and if not, 50.
  7. Burial - Kindred [EP] Burial - Truant [single]
  8. Yo La Tengo - Fade J Dilla - Donuts
  9. Let this be the beginning of January, please, moderators. DIIV - Oshin Captain Murphy - Duality [Deluxe Edition] Captain Murphy is Flying Lotus's hip-hop moniker. Download all of it here, legally, for free.
  10. Radiohead with opener Caribou. What a 1-2 punch.
  11. Four Tet - Pink Mount Eerie - Clear Moon and Ocean Roar Solange - True Bob Dylan - Tempest
  12. Daniel Rossen - Silent Hour / Golden Mile [EP] The best Grizzly Bear work this year is not a Grizzly Bear work. Frankie Rose - Interstellar If you liked Melody's Echo Chamber, try this. Sharon Van Etten - Tramp Bob Mould - Silver Age
  13. I was actually front row to that. For them to decide to re-enact The Chinese Restaurant entirely is extremely abnormal, far from boring. If you want to talk about boring, let's talk about how all bands play music for 1-2.5 hours and leave the stage every night and move to another city to do the same thing, again, and again, 72 times, a year. After that, they enter the studio to make new music. And then they rinse and repeat, for their entire life. You're certainly allowed to dislike the script reading. Calling their plan to sporadically change their planned act by a wheel which encompass
  14. There are some songs on Sweet Heart Sweet Light with justifiable lengths. Some of them have great hooks, but overstay their welcome and enter the extremely broken record territory. Chromatics - Kill For Love Not a bad cover of the classic Young song. Passion Pit - Gossamer Jamie Woon - Mirrorwriting Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music Tame Impala - Lonerism
  15. I have yet to see their off nights. But I have only been alive as long as the band has existed.
  16. John Talabot - ƒIN Spiritualized - Sweet Heart Sweet Light Worst album cover of the year? Also, anyone think So Long Your Pretty Thing [the last song] lasts about 4 minutes too long?
  17. Death Grips - Exmilitary NSFW album covers under the tags. Death Grips - The Money Store Death Grips - No Love Deep Web What am I listening to, Björk?
  18. Grimes - Visions Miguel - Kaleidoscope Dream Cat Power - Sun
  19. No. Here's the setlist. I'm a fan of Eddie and Roger, and I thought that duet of Comfortably Numb was atrocious. I'm too embarrassed to be a fan of those two at the moment.
  20. I heavily concur with the protection of Adele. Even if you don't like her content, her vocal chops are extraordinary. I would not say rock'n'roll is dying. But it sure has taken a backseat in popular music stations. It would be pretty hilarious to see TV On The Radio end up on this one day and sing Heroes and Young Liars.
  21. William Basinski - Disintegration Loop [The Complete Series] Back to that experimental music.
  22. Why would you... Are you trying to raze the Earth? What is wrong with you? Why would you want Billy Corgan to try articulate his crazy rambling thoughts? Just let him go back to trying to make music and reclaim his legacy, lost long ago. On a separate note, I might not love Rush, but they're some extremely talented musicians. The same applies for the members of Sonic Youth: Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley are just amazing to watch. It's just harder for you to pay attention under the different tunings, signatures, and noise.
