  1. Say You Miss Me is just beautiful. I'm glad I've had the pleasure to hear this in person in their current lineup.
  2. When people need a quick name for a new song, they just pick up on repeated phrases in the new song they hear in concert. It happened to Radiohead with Nude, which was known as Big Ideas (even though a minute portion of Radiohead fans were calling it Nude while they were testing it for like those 10 years). I can only assume the same thing happened to Laminated Cat (Not For The Season). EDIT: I may be mistaken, but I thought Wilco occassionally writes Not For The Season on their setlists as well sometimes.
  3. Because its official track name is Laminated Cat, not Not For The Season.
  4. Why couldn't they have started to pick up Laminated Cat during the tour last year? I want to hear this one in person. :/
  5. I have yet to see something other than Impossible Germany follow the alternate arrangement of Spiders.
  6. I would love it if they played full band version of You Were Wrong.
  7. Fifth song in, and Box Full Of Letters? Those requests. Teehee.
  8. I can only hope someone is recording. So far... Dawned On Me, War On War, I Might
  9. I love this album. Oh, now, I want to listen to it too.
  10. I thought it sounded good. Not spectacular, nor awful, but not mediocre. Just, good. A Place To Bury Strangers - Worship Neneh Cherry & The Thing - The Cherry Thing Dent May - Do Things
  11. Guided By Voices - Class Clown Spots A UFO POP ETC - POP ETC Apparently, if you understand the definition of benders, then discovered that people in a certain region eschew it as a pejorative but not its original meaning, it's not okay because people might eschew your name to be vague and insulting. Porque, Morning Benders? This is a pretty horrible name change. And that's before we talk about whether their new sound works for them.
  12. "This." is technically a complete minor sentence. But if you're telling him to make more sentences, then I really can't do anything to help you two..
  13. You could be polite by not being repetitious. Instead, you're clogging up the traffic that is communication. Why overstate your thoughts? It just makes it harder to read for the next person. If that's being polite, damn, I'm a miserable asshole.
  14. I don't ever see any love for Deeper Down on this forum. So I express it now in hopes of reciprocation. Wait, I don't think songs can love. Just their writers. Ffffffffffffffffffffffffff
  15. Wilcobase is still keeping itself up to date? What the deuce?
  16. http://youtu.be/1U4ZhFDFYvE HBO places The Newsroom, newest Aaron Sorkin outing, on Youtube. How do I learn to control myself when Aaron Sorkin sells good writing?
  17. I love that album too. Why there so little love for this beautiful album? Also, I have to be honest. I found out about this album and band through Gilmore Girls. Not enough love for that show as well. :/
  18. Oceania is full of extremely trite sentiments. It's like Billy Corgan embraced Jack Johnson in his life: all you need in a musical career is a heart. I actually think this is just Zwan 2.0 meets some sort of fevered-dream version of Black Sabbath. There's some nice sounds on the album; however, the lyrics... Then again, this is the man who hates Pavement because he doesn't understand a joke and sarcasm. And then he said this, at a time when he released different extra tracks for different retailers for the same album. Because a heart should be on a sleeve! I'm sorry, now it's just a rant
  19. Glen Hansard - Rhythm And Repose The Smashing Pumpkins - Oceania This is pretty awful. How did they ever go from Cherub Rock, Rhinoceros, Drown, and Perfect into.... ... that.
  20. Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do By the way, typing is fun.
  21. I saw them in Michigan this year (first time they returned in about 15 years), and I noticed that a couple of the 12 mobile dangling displays had dead pixels in them. But I didn't see anything wrong or dangerous with the wiring. Just that the staff used a lot of precaution when ascending to the stage ceiling. My sympathy and condolences to fans, friends, and family of the crews and bands.
  22. Morning Mr Magpie is the true highlight from The King Of Limbs. Feral sure is monstrous live. Actually, real surprise is opener Caribou. I liked Caribou before, but when they play live, it's quite a blast. The live rendition of Bowls (and I apologize beforehand for this) just bowls my mind.
