While nothing new, it's a good record. I enjoyed listening to it. Don't know about its shelf life.

I still dislike Sky Blue Sky outside of the BT-ST-YHF comparisons. If Sky Blue Sky were my first Wilco album, it would not impress me. Sky Blue Sky sounded like a bad copy of an Eagles record, and much more sedate. There's a difference between simplicity and trite sentimentality. I wish they found a different way to approach this entire album. I wouldn't say that everyone hates it since you obviously like it, but there's some amount of dislike and disapproval. And for anyone that's ever liked music (or any of it for the matter), looking at music objectively is almost impossible. -

Girls - Father, Son, Holy Ghost Ugh, extremely hard to google bands names are hard to google.

I actually think Ole sounds better than any of the material put out in the last two studio albums.

While it's not in my top 10, I admire this song for its culminate ending. There's a sense of resignation and aloofness loosely based on a bad touring experience in Arizona. But the organ and the hiss just drives home the entire package.

Radio Cure certainly gets the shaft from Wilco fans for its intricate beauty. And apparently so does I Am Trying To Break Your Heart according to this thread. What the deuce? Anyways, these may not be my favorite, but I believe these are the 10 best Wilco songs (pre-The Whole Love). 10 Bob Dylan's 49th Beard 09 Wishful Thinking 08 A Shot In The Arm 07 Sunken Treasure 06 Ashes Of American Flags 05 She's A Jar 04 Misunderstood 03 Poor Places 02 I Am Trying To Break Your Heart 01 Via Chicago

Let me drop off some band names too like Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo: their ages are well beyond their recognition and they still have some of the best output in the world.

I definitely don't think those noises are weird: but they're foreign and I like it. I like to think that they helped convey the idea radio interference/static that disrupts communication. I've always thought Yankee Hotel Foxtrot as an album about communication of love and the many barriers in between that model. I hope that makes sense to someone. And to be fair, I still like some songs from the AGIB/SBS era like like Handshake Drugs, Company In My Back, and You Are My Face. And my opinion comes pretty close to that of Pitchfork's in regards to AGIB and SBS. They already gave I Might a
