-
So my girlfriend and I are going to be at the Brewgarden PRE-SHOW around 4 or 5 if anyone wants to join us! Bob

loraaw, I started this thread. It was my attempt at humor, but serious at the same time. I did request SPIDERS for your hubby and you, and thank you for the suggestions! Bob

My girl and I are going next Tuesday, and are going to see them for the 1st time! What is going on before the show? We are driving from Melbourne (about a 2 1/2 hour drive) and will be in early afternoon. Suggestions? Bob
-
I will be there and made the request for SPIDERS. Your hubby is a good sport, but how can he not just LOVE Wilco by now? Bob
-
Am I the only one confused? What songs have the Wilco members in them?
-
23 seconds. Nice...

I love the debates. Thank you. Thank you. Dcarter, I am in Row V and will be looking at row K. I doubt I can spot you, but will try. Give me a call if you want to hook up! My email addy is peteboiler@hotmail.com and let me know it is you and I can give you my #. Sadly, I know of no other Wilco fans other than my girlfriend and I, and we will be in clearwater earlier in the day. Bob

This has turned into a very educational thread, and I appreciate all my fellow Wilco fans advice. Ruth Eckerd Hall has nowhere to roam to dance in the aisle. There is no escape once you are in (there will be absolutely no drinking for me, sadly), so I will just have to go with the flow. Bob
-
Yes, but it has also been said in this thread that Jeff has been a little pissy with people who sit. Bob
-
As the guy who started this thread, I wanted everyone to know that I am saying FUCK IT - I AM STANDING. This is my 1st Wilco concert, and I'll be damned if I am pressured into sitting. EVERYONE should stand! Bob

Went to see Billy Joel for the first time last year in Hollywood Hard Rock, FL, and it was seated, and it was sold out. The venue must have held 5000. Everyone sat. My crew of 7 stood, danced, sang, and had a great time, and yes, people behind us were pissed. With Billy, I drank quite a bit, so I didn't give a shit. I wanted to have a great time, and I did. But with Wilco, I will definitely be more relaxed minus the alcohol, and more considerate of others. By the way, Mr. Joel kicked some major ass for an old dude! Bob

Thanks to everyone for taking time with this issue. I am hoping everyone stands, but I will sit if everyone is seated. I know myself, and I get antsy if I sit when I want to rock out. It will be tough. I just hope the people in Clearwater want to stand, dance, give high fives, and rock the whole night long. I will definitely be standing until someone tells me to sit. I respect others, but dammit, it will be hard. Bob
-
Thank you all for your advice, but I was hoping that everyone would agree on one unwritten etiquette, but there are differences of opinions. I find it upsetting that I will have to sit just because a seat is provided, and the hundreds of people around me will be sitting. It is what it is. If nothing else, I will lead, and hope others follow. This is my first time seeing Wilco, and I sure as hell am going to have the time of my life. Bob
-
I am thinking of Jeff and the boys coming out starting to play and everyone is seated. Seriously? If I was part of the band, I would think 'this sucks.'
-
Wow. I am going to the show in Clearwater next month, and it is a seated venue. I am now worried because I don't plan on sitting for a second! What is the proper etiquette for this? Bob
-
So I have just purchased, but have yet to receive, Golden Smog's greatest hits. Opinions? Bob
-
Where did you find the top request? I know how to request a song, but am attending the Clearwater show, and am curious to see what has been requested. Thanks. Bob
-
Thanks, I played around and figured it out. Just moved them over to Itunes after extracting them. Bob
-
So I have downloaded the Wilco songs from the DVD to my hard drive. How do I copy them to a disc on my computer? Anyone? Any help is appreciated. Bob
-
I don't own AM either. I have heard it, and like it, but I don't even consider it a WILCO album. I may get flamed for this, and I can take it, but AM does not contain music that I can get lost in, unlike all of their other albums. Bob

Wilco on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson January 28
peteboiler replied to u2roolz's topic in Just A Fan
I love my WILCO but I must agree with junior 5 in that they didn't look very enthused to be there. They did, however, just look tired. I am going to see them in March, and I doubt very much that they will let the true WILCO fans down. Bob
