  1. I do play Wilco (TA) from time to time, and I am not a 'hater' of the album. That being said, IMO, it is the weakest release to date. Bob
  2. Regarding Wilco (the song), Jeff has said in a very recent interview that he doesn't understand fans who obsess over Wilco and would prefer fans to open up their minds and listen to music from vastly different genres. I think, personally, this is why he has had numerous side projects. So in his defense, Wilco (the song)'s meaning is quite different than what some are saying in this thread. He is not saying Wilco will always love us - the fans - and they are always going to be the only ones there for us. It was very much tongue-in-cheek, and I think he was having fun. Quite nice, consideri
  3. I got orchestra left row D seats 1 and 2 at the Murat theatre in Indy but the seating charts online don't give any of that information. Anyone have any idea if I have good seats and where they are? Thanks! Bob
  4. Was in the Air Force stationed in Korea in 97 I think. Anyway, on a whim, bought Being There due to the fact it had amazing review stickers on the CD. First saw them just last year in Clearwater, Florida. Rocked my world. Going to fly up from FLA to see them in Indy Sep 13th. Bob
  5. Wow they are very similar. It is NOT Dash 7, but it DOES sound a lot like it. Bob
  6. I was watching the film 'A Vicious Kind' and I couldn't get over the fact that this guy - Adam Scott - reminds me of Jeff Tweedy. What do you think? Bob
  7. Here is mine. Put together last year from the Clearwater show. Bob
  8. Heard 'YOU AND I' at Sears yesterday. Bob
  9. Then how did you get them to use your facial hair as the model, hmm? That's funny! Hadn't noticed that before. Actually, I trimmed my beard to match the poster. ;-) Bob
  10. Solid props! Impossible Germany NAILED pretty much note for note. Amazing job!
  11. My apologies. I, of course, did not make the poster. Got it at the Clearwater show. Just added the pics and tickets. And no, it is not signed, but if it were, I would be ecstatic! Hanging in my man-cave now. Bob
  12. IMO, I like it. I don't like it as much as their previous CD's, and don't listen to it as often, but it does have some brilliance to it. I can handle THE SONG. Think it's fun. One Wing is amazing. I can listen to YOU AND I, although it is not a fav. COUNTRY DISAPPEARED is my favorite on the album. I can listen to it from start to finish - well, excluding EVERLASTING EVERYTHING. Hate that damn song. Doesn't sound like Wilco at all. Bob
  13. How do you know that it is not associated with the band? I was under the impression that the brewery are big fans. Bob
  14. Saturday night and listening to Wilco while drinking Wilco Tango Foxtrot. Life is good. Bob
  15. Depends on my mood, but since I will choose just one, it would have to be MONDAY. Bob
  16. Thanks to Wilco and Jeff Tweedy, I am discovering new music. I picked up Stay Golden, Smog - The Best of Golden Smog, and it is amazing! Even the tracks without Tweedy are definite ear candy. I can't stop listening to it! I would love to see Wilco play some more of this stuff, and RADIO KING is running throughout my head. Just for those who have yet to discover them... Do it! Bob
  17. They did mention taking requests of the website a couple of times at the Clearwater show. Bob
  18. I bought 3 bottles. 1 to drink, 1 to have WILCO sign, and 1 for my garage display. Unfortunately, couldn't find a way to get it signed. Took a bottle to the Clearwater show just in case, but no go. But damn it is good stuff! Bob
  19. YHF is their masterpiece IMO. I used to have SUMMERTEETH as the one closest to my heart. Now the order goes... 1. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 2. Summerteeth 3. A Ghost is Born 4. Being There 5. Sky Blue Sky 6. Wilco (TA) 7. AM I won't include Kicking Television because it is a live album, but it does kick ass!!!
  20. Jeff Tweedy hates Easter and fake grass! Love it!
  21. Wow. Saw the Clearwater show, and don't remember the metal power chords during Shot in the arm! Awesome!!!
  22. I have heard Jeff can be cranky. I even looked up some clips on youtube with him berating the audience, and who can forget the moment of silence in the Pacific Northwest after he asked if people could be quiet and quit talking. I look at it like some others have mentioned. He appreciates his fans. He does. He knows the true fans from the drunk/obnoxious/casual asses who will do anything to disrupt the audience or the band. I saw them for the first time in Clearwater last week, and he was funny, entertaining, and very personable. He ended the night by telling us we were 'awesome.' So if
  23. Jeff and Pat went acoustic, Nels was lap, and John played both a stand up bass, and - I think - an electric bass. Glenn pulled out a mini drum set with a lot of percussion, and Mikel played piano and keyboards. At least from what I can remember, and SPIDERS was fantastic!!! Oh, and the set was played under floor lamps, in which Nels knocked one over (the guy gets so into it, even on the slower numbers!) Bob
