  3. How was the show? Was supposed to go tonight but Boston snowstorm has forced it to be rescheduled to Sunday Night.
  4. Can't speak for him, no one can. Did read he battled drugs and alcohol early in life. Claimed to have stopped drinking hard stuff just wine. Don't know if he was loaded when he pulled the trigger. Must have been a lot of pain. Either way what's left is his music and our memories. Rest In Peace
  5. Got out to hear a GD cover band last night. Out of a jam they went into 10 minutes of Whipping Post. The place went nuts, it seemed everyone was looking for some live ABB. Turned out a couple of the guys onstage had sat in with Butch on a recent Les Bres Boston stop.
  6. I know there are many fans besides me of ABB ... Man I'm going to miss seeing him. I had the chance to meet him a couple of times. An easy conversationalist, and funny too. I'm going to play Post tonight, and listen for those drums! The band is slowly being reformed above. Butch Trucks thanks for sharing the Joy! Rest In Peace
  7. That scene and movie made an impression on me. A few few yrs after it came out. I saw it and bought the soundtrack. Was Dylan actually in the movie Its so long ago. But I seem to recall him in it, or a bit part in an early 70s Western.
  8. Jesse Dee / Sinclair Cambridge
  9. Dashboard Confessional Sold out at Paradise but a low priced Stubhub ..ticket figure I would check them out.
  10. [quote name="remphish1" post="1600403" Id like to do the throw down one year.. how was it? It was so much fun I'm heading back tonight to see The Bosstones Last Hurrah of 2016
  11. Springsteen & E Street Band Backstreets Racing in the Streets Into the Fire Youngstown Ghost of Tom Joad with or without Tom Morello
  12. Live Last Night .. The Roots / Sold Out at House of Blues Boston.. Their performance, along with the crowds energy affected the structural integrity of the building.
  13. Bruce Springsteen & E Street Met Life #2 Opened with NY City Serenade joined by full strings, not often your in a completely quiet football stadium, lit up the house by going directly into Roalita next. 4:01 later the last note echoed out! Bruce Springsteen & E Street The Last Dance tour ending show at Gillette. This show was stock full of covers rarieties and an amazing acoutstic based rendition of Sandy. Happy to be there with my 3 kids, suddenly in their 20s Wilco at State Theatre Portsmouth, to me the band played livelier than their two nights later in Boston. Perhaps, it was
  14. I agree saw him 10 years ago and he was light on his feet, sang well and shared amazing stories.
  15. Went Thursday and Saturday / Thursday was a bit more bluesy Saturday's second set rocked at the end.Enjoyed both, woulda coulda shoulda gone Friday.. Random Thought They used to drop a ABB song in the past, but know just some licks from D. Trucks.
  16. It was a good show!Alejandro Escovedo is such a talent and has so much history, he loves to share. He sings well in his mid 60s, and, he has a gunslinger for a guitarist. His songs are eaqual to his voice in richness, and his characters are deep and flawed. There is a very strong feeling of being in Austin seeing him live. He told a funny story about being called up on Springsteens stage for the first of 3 times, so far. Jesse Malin tries so hard to walk in the steps of his heroes Lou Reed, The Clash for example. He is more of an over sharer IMO. He chats a lot for an opener and chastised th

  18. Toots and the Maytals Tonight
  19. Glad you seen them. I have tickets to the tour Ender here in Boston.I will also violate the title and post from a Sunday Concert. Tedeschi Trucks Mohegan Sun Tremendously Diversified Set of Music so well played! Looking forward to the 3 night appearance at The Orpheum next month.
  20. Hear you about them selling out, this was not an easily bought pair. They are well worth the effort. With a live sound of RB tinged at times with New Orleans and also Soulful. They deliver live! It was my second time seeing them they were better than the first. Perhaps because they have two albums behind them now. This was the last US date on this leg. They are playing Paris on Wens. They came out loose and ready. Quite a varied setlist full of familiar, mixed with 3 new songs. In the Encore .. Instead of Shape I'm In, we got a tremendous version of Ophelia. A Great Night Out.
  21. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats Son of a Bit%# I'm going to Lupos on a Sunday Night
  22. Actually Last Night ARW Anderson Rabin Wakeman at the Wang in Boston. It was a Triumphant area return to a Boston area stage for Anderson and Wakeman in 12 years. Prog Rock is not everyone's cup of tea. I have to be in the mood for it myself, then I'm deeply appreciative of the musicianship. Last night I was blown away by Wakeman's extrodinary abilities to blend 12 different keyboards so seamlessly and relaxed.Andersons voice still soars he didn't miss a lyric and played the Harp! Here is some of Roundabout from last night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJJwyjr2RqM
