  1. Most enjoyable 2 nights in a row at Fenway I will spend until the fall ( fingers crossed ) PIT for Fri and yes you could play checkers on John Mayers outfit on Friday ... Set lists were thankfully varies from Hartford and the people from different states and counties were great as well as the ushers ... For a change
  2. Second Night of Dead & Co was a Party this one was sold first. Met people from all over the states and two other countries Spain & Canada. Sound and Lighting were solid last night. Had a field ticket but actually spent more time in RF Grandstands* visiting family & friends. * Surprisingly the sound was good there as well. Yawkey was was a smoky steam bath at the break. Sent us home with One More Saturday Night. Post show was another show .. Bearly Dead upstairs at House of Blues so good / sorta tired but getting ready to head back to Fenway for Macca. Second Night of Dead & Co
  3. Night 1 Dead & Co was excellent Some real popular songs Franklins & US Blues my fave was and is Morning Dew and that was spellbinding. Was very impressed with sound techs and lighting on stage. Also the ushers were chill. Back for more tonight. Macca tomorrow back to work for rest on Monday.
  4. I don't know if I will ha e a 4 night run like this again anytime soon.. Seeing Mavis Staples opening for Bob Dylan tonight. Dead & Co Fenway Fri & Sat WRP will pm re Fri for pre show activity such as drinking beer and setlist discussion as well as staying cool! Sunday McCartney back at Fenway Man I would not want to be the operations Mngr of Fenway Sat after midnight ..
  5. Saw Steely Dan Thurs good, although a little short. Phish Friday there, I said itt,Fun show. Dead & Co 2x next weekend at Fenway.
  6. Went last night to Hartford and caught Dead and Company. Really a smoking hot show. On both of the aforementioned counts, I enjoyed the crowd vibe here at Hartford usually much more fun than Mansfield.Everything from shakedown street outside / Micro brews 2 for 7 bucks Ts for 10 and nice people from all over our country! The crowd aspect is really worth checking out and I will miss that when its gone. Inside well the PIT was jammed as usual. However the balloons and cool heads prevailed. The crowd was boisterous ( a word I heard JT say) when they loved a song and The Bamd took notice with
  7. Your absolutlley right, although Bigger Bang '05 had no hits, I rather enjoyed it. Re Aerosmith, fan since HS they are from my Hometown I have seen them since Get Your Wimgs came out, attended concert rehearsals and Enjoyed the New Years Eve Parties in Early Mid 90s at the Old Boston Garden. It will be bittersweet for a lot of folks round here when they play for the last time. I would be very surprised if the tour ended anywhere but Boston.
  8. I was there / sadly my only show w/ Jerry, but picked a winner !
  9. Dead & Company Hartford tonight How was that show I'm considering it especially if Gabriel is going on last.
  10. Nightsweats and Lord Huron @ HOB Boston
  11. Since we are from the same area, perhaps we will say hello at one of them. Hoping for good weather.
  12. It's now supposed to be headed for NYC, might be worth building a trip for the Mrs and I.
  13. I'm not hitting the road to follow Dead & Co too far this summer : Fenway 20 mins from my house, and Hartford 1:45 away Fenway shows (2) are the last 2 of the tour. Anyone else seeing the summer run?
  14. Seeing Bonnie Raitt Tour Debut in Boston Been warned no Phone cameras or pics .. I don't mind first night mistakes so good to hear her and watch her play!
  15. Yes I enjoyed last night as the bookend of 2 sold out shows of adoring fans of Lucinda. Seen her only twice prior. Her voice was initially a little road weary ( to be expected back to back shows,) but warmed up as the evening wore on.Ended with a Clash Song !! LSD tonight ! Lake Street Dive (first choice was Red Baraat but couldn't locate tixs in time)
  16. Ha .. Seeing her tomorrow night .. What did you think ?
  17. Hey It wasn't so bad I did exactly the same recently. She is a solid singer, and probably walks a couple of miles a night on the length of entire floor stage.
  18. Nice Share WRP A great many National Acts played there. Most recent was about a year and a half ago when Neil Young did as a surprise performer on his then Wife Peg's stage. So many good memories that I will keep with me from that place. Thank Goodness there is still Atwoods, Toad, Lizard Lounge, Sally Obrien's and the new kid on the Block Thunder Road.
  19. Our local Boston Band returned home yesterday and visited two area hospitals one of them to visit a recovering cancer patient. Even though they were in hair caps & scrubs they brought their instruments and played a acoustic version of The Fields of Athenry. No news release got the info from locals. Tonight they take the stage for the first 4 sold out shows 3 are at the House of Blues. I'm looking forward to it tonight !
  20. I enjoyed seeing The Who earlier in the week in Boston as well.it was a full Garden and full of energy. Similar to WRP I had not seen them prior. Although I did catch Roger and had beers w/ Townsends Brothers ( Paul & Simon ) at the House of Blues show 5 yrs ago. More on point Townsend got looser and more aggressive with his guitar as the night wore on and it was a pleasure to see.Rogers voice is doing quite well for a man who screams We Won't Get Fooled Again in his 70s. A night that I will remember for awhile.
  21. Enjoy yourselves Port Chester. I was there for the first time, the last time Wilco played there!
  22. Pumped to be going to Boston / Albany shows we we are having a meetup that benefits the local Foodbank in both capital cities. Boston's BTX meetup has generated enough to feed 1,400 people in need a meal. It's my hope to that with VCR's.. However in the past it's been tough sledding to get you people together prior to a Wilco gig. Further up the road on that one. For now I will head to The River redux shows ..
  23. Having seen 3 shows in two states in the last 5 days I wanted to express my gratitude for the New England dates and performances. The road tripping was easy due to little snow and warm temps. Here's' to hoping that continues for those making shows as it rolls down the road. Speaking of people traveling I met some Wonderful Canadiens that drove down to the Maine show a shout out to them! In terms of the performances and venues The Orpheum in Boston could certainly take a page from the book of The State smooth running operation filled with happy employees and a Excellant venue. Well worth the
