My wife and I were at the Great Woods show Friday. We had a blast! First off, I am always struck by the level of sheer joy at a Phish show. When the band comes out and hits that first note, the room/venue just bursts with happiness and dancing and pure bliss. It truly is "the happiest place on earth" at that moment and the next few hours. There is nothing I experience like that at any other show. Moving on, we thought the show was great, although losing the PA during the intense second set was a huge buzzkill. Despite reviews to the contrary, I thought the band recovered nicely with Chalkd

Wilco tweeted out this link to the pro shot video of their set at Best Kept Secret festival (Netherlands) http://3voor12.vpro.nl/luisterpaal/playerpage.WO_VPRO_4374211.html

Can't argue with that logic. Maybe kick back and enjoy the couch tour of both shows, and keep that wife good-will capital in the bank.

They announced a webcast of both nights, if that impacts your decision.

Nice Trey shot. Doesn't sound like you'll be going if you get the tix, but if so let me know. We're in section 1. CK5's new LED light rig has been all the rage, so get some shots from the top of section 2.

I thought you've been seeing a bunch of shows from you FB page. Were you at a festival in Iceland? Or were those old photos? Hey, get a pass for Phish on Friday. That would be a change for you I bet.

Love that song, love that video, I almost fell off my chair when Jeff and Spencer showed up -
I have some shows coming up, starting later this week. Steely Dan is not on my schedule though.

Courtney posted on Facebook a great video for Elevator Operator, with a cameo of a certain father/son musical team from Chicago

I'm hoping the next big news Wilco drops on us will be the SS'17 announcement.

Very quiet topic with Phish on the road. Anyone catching any shows? I've seen some pro shot vids, and what I've been reading sounds like the shows have been great. I'm seeing the Mansfield show on Friday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Great for you roadhse. Ugh for me. I was invited to go down with one of my GD buddies, he had a connection for tickets, I couldn't make it for work reasons as I'm out several days starting tomorrow, turned out the seats were 2nd row center. He had a blast, everyone had a blast...I've seen several GD and post-GD shows in Hartford over the years (May '77 and Colt Park among the 2 most memorable -for completely different reasons), always a good take in Hartford. Glad you made it. I'm waiting on Fenway.

I always caught 5 of the 6 shows during those Boston Garden runs. Always skipped the first night. Yes, that Scarlet>Fire on 10/1 was a keeper. Was that the same year they did a killer Scarlet>Fire in MSG? My strongest memory of the 1994 Boston run was the Spanish Jam on 9/29. I hadn't heard a Spanish Jam live in so many years. I think I was the first on the floor to hear it coming and I literally jumped out of my seat. One of those GD moments.

I was going to go because you told me to, but I'm just too tired from 2 shows last week and a 7:30 meeting this morning.

The Keystone shows were from '72, right? That Live at Keystone album was always one of our favorites from the moment it came out. We wore out the grooves. The Keystone box is sweet. Never heard Biloxi

Did one of the three nights stand out for you?

Love what Hood has to say about this album and the times we're living through: "These are crazy times and we have made a record steeped in this moment of history that we’re all trying to live through. We’ve always considered ourselves a political band, even when that aspect seemed to be concealed by some type of narrative device i.e. dealing with issues of race by telling a story set in the time of George Wallace or class struggles by setting “Putting People of the Moon” in the age of Reagan. This time out, there are no such diversions as these songs are mostly set front and center in the c
