Hah! Those pina coladas will do that to you

It truly is a perfect album for our time. Can't stop listening. And reading the lyrics and Hood's written intro. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I was thinking of going back to the After the Show topics and weeding through to see if there's one standout show from each of the 2 cities. Don't know when I'll have time to do that.

Selling each city as individual shows and as a bundle

Tweet from Wilco that Roadcase releases from Seattle and LA shows are posted in the store.

I don't recall, was it some form of information coming from an "official" source? I do recall someone here on VC who had some informal contact with Tony who reported he said announcement in September? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Is the fan base into this? I wouldn't expect this album is going to fly with the devoted, but I have no idea what they're saying out there.

Listening to the new Phish streaming on NPR. A few songs in, and not impressed. Love seeing this band live and I will always take every opportunity to see them, but these songs seem pretty pathetic at first listen. Particularly the lyrics. That opening Fishman tune is embarrassing. The lyrics matter less at a Phish show, its the playing and the infectious joy in the crowd. But on record, can't escape how bad these lyrics are.

^ agreed Caught him earlier this year at the House of Blues with the full band. Great show.

Quite the review of last night in Denver. http://www.westword.com/music/sigur-r-s-sounded-great-but-its-light-show-was-next-level-8353167

I have only minimal familiarity with the band. My son saw them in Denver last night, he wrote "It was unreal. Hard to put to words really. They got about a 10 minute standing ovation with 3 curtain calls from the full room."

I went to sleep last night with the feeling that today will be the day they announce. Hope that was "more than a feeling."

Came in the full packaging, inside plastic cover to boot.

Got my 180g black vinyl replacement. Sounds markedly better than the orange version: a very quiet, flat and smooth playing disc. Thank you Kung Fu. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I listened to the entire interview. Thoroughly enjoyed all 60+ minutes. These guys are in a really good space right now. Looking forward to hearing the complete album. Loved hearing how this album came together in just a few days. The songs are just flowing out of these guys. After I finished I put on English Oceans. It's a great time to be a DBT fan. First part of the interview turned out to be them talking about the Replacements. Hood's a big fan. A nice treat, except they made me feel old when both of them said they'd never seen the 'Mats with Bob Stinson. Ouch. Sent from my iPad u

Steven Hyden has Hood on his latest Celebration Rock podcast. I haven't listened yet.

Full album now playing on NPR First Listen. Sounds great!

To answer the question above, I posted the email response I received from Kung Fu. I had sent them an email with my customer order number and that was the initial response. Today I received a follow up that there is nothing more I need to do, they will be shipping me a replacement 180 g. black vinyl and I will receive a notice when it ships.

Interesting, this is the response I received, didn't say anything about destroying my orange: Sorry for the delay in response. There is a known issue with the Orange pressing and we've been a little overwhelmed by emails and phone calls. We apologize for any issues with the Schmilco Limited Edition Orange vinyl pressing. The defect is not unique to your copy, but a fault with part of the vinyl pressing. We are happy to replace your orange copy with either a newly pressed orange copy or the heavier and better sounding 180 gram black vinyl. It's a better listening experience because black viny

Love these guys. Standing up and speaking out from the Deep South (even though Hood now lives in Portland). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Amen to that.
