  4. 1st Olberman wasnt a Journalist he was a bomb thrower for the Left .. On one hand I hate to see him go because the occasions when I could take the time to stomach him, he was like watching a Train Wreck.. I also hate to see him go because I like free speech and even if I cant stand what a person says, I still think that person should have a soap box to scream from ... he will just find a smaller box is all. The market of ideas and the market of the economy have both spoken and he and his network are not profiting anyone. Good Riddance and Good Day... Day 1 of no Olby!
  5. I did not watch it intially because I was afraid of a repeat of the Wellstone Funeral. I am not in any remote way a supporter of Obama but his speech was well done and I will give him credit when credit is due. The crowds reaction was boorish at times but there s no way to control peoples actions if they dont get what is acceptable behaviour. Nothing will change about civil discourse in the long term .... the right will behave in ways that the left doesnt agree with and the left will behave in ways that the right wont agree with .and no one will look themselves in the mirror from the Presid
  6. Yup I screwed up and quoted Montel twice and after posting that I left it because I was lazy and I knew someone would jump on it .. predictable .. also predictable was people dismissing the quotes I posted .... Since it doesnt take much effort to find violent rhetoric on Fox news as you posted .. how about some examples? Im not talking about people talking about talking about that the Obama agenda needs to be stopped etc... I am talking violent violent rhetoric .. But really no ones mind is going to be changed here ..... the Left wont see the nasty rhetoric that they use and the Right won
  7. But I am done because I really dont come to VC for politics or argueing .. I get plenty of that elsewhere
  8. Its really not that difficult to come up with Left Wing Vitriol ... “So, Michele (Bachman), slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.” – Montel Williams, September 2, 2009. “He is an enemy of the country, in my opinion. Dick Cheney is an enemy of the country....Lord, take him to the Promised Land, will you? See, I don’t even wish the guy goes to Hell, I just want to get him the hell out of here.” – Ed Schultz, May 11, 2009 “Cheney, by th
  9. and there is still no evidence he was inspired by what some here consider inflamatory rhetoric. I suspect there never will be any. This is not to say thet there shouldnt be a toning down of rhetoric... but for every piece of right wing vitriol that my liberal friends can point out I can point out a Left Wing piece of vitriol and I really dont want to get into that game
  10. I have commented on this on my Face Book page but it is highly irresponsible to jump to the conclusion that this was the results of Right Wing Political Vitriol ... there is no evidence of that at this point .. it could have easlily been Left Wing Vitriol ... of which there is alot ... read the blogs ... people should stop using this tradgedy to score political points but I digress this killer could have had voices in his head, little green men any number of potential reasons he killed ...my guess he is just another Ted Kazcinski ... a crazy MoFo .....I am a Conservative.. probably not alot of
